Prologue

Mom & Dad are currently flying back home from the city where they met almost a decade before you were born. Your Mom is about 5 months pregnant which means you’re a Thanksgiving baby. Which makes sense because we’re so very thankful for you already.

Your Mom’s wearing the same exact dress she wore during our Civil Ceremony in 2019. I don’t know how she still fits 7 years later and pregnant, because your Dad no longer fits in his wedding tuxedo from 4 years ago. Yes we had multiple weddings — we’ll explain when you get older.

The song is Arabesque no. 1 by Claude Debussy, who also composed Claire De Lune — the song your Dad plays on the piano nonstop. Also the song that’s playing in Edward’s bedroom when Bella visits the Cullen’s for the first time.

Don’t know the reference yet? Don’t worry, you’ll have the rest of your life to get to know all of our favorite characters. You’ll get to know mom and dad’s story, and even get to be the main character in your own story.

But for now just get some rest.
We can’t wait to meet you in a few months. ❤️
