Dinosaurs Spotted Near Austin!! 🦖 @dinosaurparktx - located in Cedar Creek, Texas, a short 30 minutes from Austin. These are life size dinosaur statues, although they aren’t animatronics and it’s not Jurassic park, they are fun for kids to see, it’s an affordable stop and makes for some really cool photo ops! You could make an entire day out of it by packing lunch or I’d suggest grabbing lunch in Bastrop which is only 15 minutes away! Day trip to the Llano Slab, a Texas Hill Country hidden gem located in Kingsland, Texas! Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at the FAMOUS @hoopers_kingsland. This restaurant was once the movie set for the classic horror film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! I had been wanting to eat here for a while and the food is great! If you make it out to East, Texas, @captainronswamptours is a MUST! It’s about an 1 hour and 45 minutes from Nacogdoches so it would be a good place to stay overnight or for the weekend. **TOUR INFO ⤵️This swamp tour will make you feel like you’re in a Louisiana bayou but this is still Texas and a really great way to explore Caddo Lake and take in all the sights of these cypress trees and Spanish moss! (swipe) Way out in East Texas, you’ll find these hidden gems! I visited @visitnac and was in awe of their beautiful gardens and trails! It almost felt like you’re stepping into a secret garden because the trails are tucked away on the Stephen F Austin campus and surrounded by all these tall pine trees. If you love nature, a visit to come discover the Garden Capital of Texas is a must! I imagine it’s even more stunning to visit during the fall when the leaves change colors or at springtime to see the Azaleas bloom. Places shown here:🌿 Ruby M.
