The excitement and anticipation were REAL!!! 🥹💜

We were finally inside Gillette Stadium for BTS Day 1! 💜 From meeting some of the sweetest ARMYs who volunteered to take our family photo, to ARMYs giving away freebies... I just loved the whole atmosphere and seeing everyone so excited to finally be there. 🥹💜

Then we made our way to our seats in Section 301, and our view was incredible! We could see the entire production from our angle, and watching the stadium fill up with that beautiful sea of light bombs was something else. 💜✨ We were waving ours, chanting “BTS! BTS! BTS!” and just taking everything in while waiting for the show to start.

The show was supposed to start at 8 PM, but because of the traffic, some ARMYs still hadn't made it inside the stadium yet. BTS wanted to give them more time to get in before starting the show, so they waited. 🥹💜 The show ended up starting around 8:30 PM instead.

And honestly, that extra 30 minutes just added to the anticipation! 😂 Every minute felt like, “Is this it?! Are they coming out now?!” 😭💜 The energy inside the stadium kept building and building... we knew it could happen at any moment!

BTS IS NEXT!!! 😭💜

Part 16-2💜 SURPRISE SONG NO. 1 — PARADISE

Because one reel wasn't enough for "Paradise"... 😂💜

Here's Part 2 of our first surprise song from BTS Day 1 in Boston! And by this point, I finally knew what we were listening to. 🤣💜

But listen closely and you might hear my daughter in the background randomly calling out, "JK! V!" 😂💜 I don't know why, but hearing her in these videos makes them even more fun to look back on.

Just another one of those little moments I'm glad we captured. 🥹💜

Part 16-1 💜 SURPRISE SONG NO. 1 — PARADISE

Our first surprise song... “Paradise”! 💜

Okay, confession... I didn't recognize this one right away. 😂 I think I'd only heard “Paradise” once or twice before, so I was sitting there listening like... wait, what song is this?! 🤣💜

It wasn't until they got further into the song that I finally realized what they were singing.

And that's part of the fun of the surprise songs... you really don't know what you're going to get! 🥹💜

Part 15 💜 DYNAMITE 🧨

From listening to "Dynamite" at home all those years ago... to finally hearing BTS sing it LIVE. 🥹💜

This song will always bring back so many memories for us, especially of our daughter singing and dancing to it when she was little. And now here we were, five years later, experiencing it together at a BTS concert. 😭💜

Time really does go by way too fast.

Definitely more than just a song for us. 🥹💜

I didn’t even know they were releasing a Forgotten Island book and journal until yesterday! 📚

The moment I found out, I knew I had to get it for our daughter. She absolutely loves reading, and since she loved the movie too, I thought this would be the perfect little surprise for her. 🥹❤️

I started checking different bookstores and saw that some Barnes & Noble locations were already sold out, so when I found it on Amazon, I grabbed it as soon as I could. And somehow it arrived today! 😂 I was so happy.

One of the things I really love about stories like this is that they give Filipino kids who were born and raised outside the Philippines another way to learn more about their Filipino heritage, culture, and roots. 🇵🇭

And honestly, I think anyone can relate to the story. There’s so much in it about friendship, memories, and the people we meet along the way who become such a big part of our lives. ❤️

So here’s a little sneak peek inside the book because of course I couldn’t wait to share it. 😂📖

Finally checked out Kaliubon and... wow. 😭🍜

We went in with high hopes because we’d heard it was authentic, and let me tell you, it completely teleported us right back to Japan. 🥹🇯🇵 Everything we ordered was a 10/10.

I also loved the little details, especially the chopstick helpers for kids... and of course, having soju on the menu for the adults. 😂🍶

Judging by how little was left in our bowls and my daughter was still working on hers when I took this... I think that pretty much says it all. 😂

Between this stubborn migraine, feeling under the weather, and dealing with car stress, today honestly felt like one of those days when everything just decides to pile up all at once.

And when you’re in the middle of it, it’s so easy to get caught up in the frustration of everything going wrong.

But then I saw something today that really made me stop and think.

It reminded me how quickly perspective can change the way we look at our day.

Not because our struggles suddenly don’t matter. They do. We’re allowed to feel tired, frustrated, overwhelmed, or just completely over it sometimes. Life can be hard, and some days really do test us.

But at the same time, I think there is something humbling about remembering that even on the days when life feels heavy, there are still so many things we have that we sometimes forget to notice.

A home to come back to. People we love. Food on the table. Another day to wake up, try again, and experience this life.

And I know not everyone has those same comforts. That thought alone puts so many things into perspective for me.

Life is filled with trials and tribulations. There is no getting around that. But somehow, even in the middle of all of it, there is still goodness. There are still blessings. There is still something worth holding onto.

And sometimes, gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is okay.

Sometimes it’s simply being able to say, "Today was hard... but I still have so much to be thankful for."

And tonight, that is what I’m choosing to hold onto. 🙏💖
