They called him the Vardapet of song, but Avetik Isahakyan was much more than a poet – he was the eternal wanderer who carried the aching, beautiful soul of Armenia across continents. 🌍✨

Long before modern playlists captured our melancholy, Isahakyan was writing the soundtrack to the Armenian spirit. From the sweeping, philosophical desolation of Abu-Lala Mahari to lyrics so deeply tender they feel like whispered secrets, his verses bridge the ancient world and modern longing. He roamed Europe and the East, soaked in philosophy, yet every line he forged ultimately returned to the rugged beauty of his homeland.

Few writers could make sorrow sound so majestic or capture the essence of a nation with just a few strokes of a pen.

Read Isahakyan today, and you’ll realize: the great wanderer never really left us. His words still echo in the autumn wind. 📖🍂🇦🇲

Happy heavenly birthday, Varpet!

⛰️ Happy Lori Region Day! Where Heavy Metallurgy Meets High Peaks!

Before it became famous for emerald canopies and medieval sanctuaries, Lori’s heartbeat was forged in fire, copper, and steel.
Anchored by Vanadzor as its manufacturing powerhouse and Alaverdi as its legendary mining heartland, this region drives a relentless industrial pulse through Armenia’s economic core. But the real magic of Lori is its raw, striking contradiction.

Step just past the historic factory towns and rugged mining arteries, and you are instantly swallowed by breathtaking wilderness: the dramatic, plunging depths of the Debed River canyon, the stone-carved, UNESCO-listed majesty of Haghpat and Sanahin, and the crisp alpine air of Stepanavan. And beyond the open plateaus lie hidden network trails winding through dense forests, ancient stone bridges arching over roaring rivers, and quiet alpine retreats where time entirely stands still.

🏭⛰️ Industrial grit on one side, timeless nature on the other.

Have you explored Lori’s wild side yet? 👇

Over 2,800 years of history, and Yerevan still shines brighter than ever!

What does 6,100 years of unbroken memory taste like? 🍷

If you look into a glass of Armenian wine, you aren’t just looking at fermented grapes. You’re holding mountain sun trapped in volcanic rock, ancient clay resting beneath the earth, and an obsession with hospitality that has outlived the turn of millennia.

Areni was pure magic this weekend—an absolute explosion of color, sound, and laughter! Traditional music filled the air, dancers brought vibrant folk steps to life, and wine stalls welcomed visitors with generous pours of everything from crisp mountain whites and vibrant rosés to bold, ruby-red vintages. Yet beneath the wild clinking of glasses and high spirits lay something far deeper: an enduring, profound philosophy behind every single pour.

This isn’t just folklore—it is a proven, tangible legacy. Just up the road in the Areni-1 cave complex, archaeologists unearthed the world’s oldest known winery, dating back 6,100 years. Inside those limestone walls, researchers discovered a complete ancient production site: clay fermentation vats, a foot-pressing basin, storage jars, and desiccated grape seeds that proved our ancestors were mastering viticulture in deep antiquity.

Here, wine has never been a casual drink. It is a ritual of genuine connection, heartfelt toasts, and the timeless art of Armenian hospitality.
Areni Wine festival may have wrapped up, but the 6,000-year craft behind it is timeless.

Have you ever tasted wine born from an ancient clay karas? Let us know in the comments. 🍇✨

Happy Ararat Region Day! ✨

Spreading across the fertile Ararat Valley, Ararat Province represents a vital bridge between centuries of Armenian heritage and high-capacity economic production🌾.

On the national economic map, Ararat stands as one of Armenia’s primary heavy and agro-industrial powerhouses 🏭.

The city of Ararat forms the core of the building materials sector, anchored by major production of high-grade Portland cement and clinker, alongside precious metal recovery facilities and rich quarries of travertine, basalt, and tufa 🏗️.

Moving toward Artashat, Masis, and Vedi, the focus shifts to advanced food processing and manufacturing. Here, large-scale canning plants process the valley’s harvest into exported purées, compotes, and preserves, while industrial wineries and distilleries anchor Armenia’s flagship viticulture industry 🍇.

Backed by commercial greenhouse clusters, rapid solar energy adoption, and key freight routes along the North–South transit corridor, the region’s industrial and logistical footprint continues to expand ☀️.

Beyond its industrial pace, the region unfolds into an extraordinary landscape of raw natural beauty and sacred history.

Azat Reservoir

Engineered along the Azat River, this massive turquoise body of water sits framed by arid, canyon-like ridgelines. While essential for supplying agricultural irrigation across the Ararat Valley, it is widely celebrated for its stark, desert-oasis landscape that shifts dramatically in color with the seasons.

Kaqavaberd Fortress (Geghi Berd)

Hidden high within the Khosrov Forest State Reserve above the Azat River gorge, Kaqavaberd is a 9th-to-10th-century medieval stronghold. Its semi-circular stone towers and thick defensive walls still cling to the precipice, having historically protected access between Dvin and the surrounding mountain domains.

Angels Canyon (Hreshtakneri Dzor)

Located near the village of Dashtakar, this narrow geological formation is known for its steep, layered sedimentary cliffs in shades of ochre and red. The canyon’s natural erosion has carved a winding, alien-like gorge that has become a premier destination for hiking and outdoor photography.
