Shubh and I finally got to work together, something we’d both wanted for so long. It started in the most unexpected way and led us straight into AI. This page is just us documenting that journey… the process, the chaos, the learnings, all of it.

It was the summer of 2024. The sun was scorching and the humidity was at its peak.
The Theyyam season was nearing its end. Only a few rituals were left.
We planned late, thinking it would be calmer with fewer people.

But nothing about it was calm.

Some rituals were intense, even a little scary for me as someone from outside this culture. We had never seen anything like it. The transformation, the energy, the devotion — it was overwhelming.

I’m not Malayalee, and I don’t speak the language, but that didn’t stop us from feeling it deeply.
We tried to capture that feeling through our lens.
And it’s something I’ll never forget.

I thought I should write something philosophical, or at least something about how I felt while shooting these. If I had, I probably would’ve posted them next week.

But who cares? I just love these photographs.

Every now and then a project surprises you with where it ends up. :)

The Bridge House @ekabridgehouse has won the Architizer A+ Award in the Architecture + Photo/Video category.

To see it receive this recognition and possibly become the first of films to win an A+ Award feels surreal.
@architizer @architizerawards

Deeply grateful to @ar.vinudaniel for creating such an extraordinary project, and to Kartar, whose exceptional AI skills helped bring the creative vision to life.

Grateful, as always. 🙏
Thank you, @architizer

If you know me personally, you know how much I love Spiti. Sometimes even I can’t explain it properly. It has always felt like my second home.

I’ve always had this strange urge to take the people I love there. Almost like Spiti is an extension of me. I want them to witness how beautiful it is. It feels like a way of knowing me.

This time, I took my sister with me. We stayed in this small homestay with a beautiful family for a week. Ate with them, sat with them, and lived with them.

I first went to Spiti in May 2018, which honestly feels unreal now. It doesn’t feel like eight years. But ever since that first trip, I keep finding my way back there. And somehow, things always work out when it’s Spiti.

This video is a small homage.
To my love for Spiti.
To this homestay and the family that made it feel warm. And to all the upcoming winters and summers I’ll spend there - roaming through the streets, and eating at lobsang’s cafe.
