I used to find the word “influencer” quite cringy (as many do) but I’ve grown to find a different meaning to it. ⬇️

I’ve always loved making little vlogs, documenting my progress, stopping on trail to take a shit ton of pictures and sharing hidden gems with my friends & family. Eventually, I found the courage to just start sharing it publicly cause .. why not? It’s not that serious and it’s a great way to create a digital diary for future self too! ☺️

Basically, I just want to influence you to not care about what others may think - don’t waste time living in fear. If you like it & you’re not hurting anyone in the process, just go for it! Most importantly, get out there (even if you do it solo) and leave no trace.

I tend to try new activities in the fall when the weather doesn’t always allow to go on a hike or explore. 🍂

I love finding funky rings & making a matching one with @alisacolours during the 3h silversmith workshop at @thegemstudio.ca was so so fun. 🤘

The climb to Mt. Marcy | 1629m ⛰️

This was by far the longest & most challenging hike I’ve done. Woke up at 6am & left camp by 7:30am, starting our 21km hike that would take us 13h to complete.

It was drizzling rain throughout the hike which tested our gear (spoiler alert: our gear passed the test). The rain surprisingly didn’t make it too slippery on the rocky terrain so yay no broken ankles 🎊 oh we saw sooooo many beautiful & unique mushrooms all along the trail 🍄

However, I was expecting it to be as steep as other hikes I’ve done in the Adirondacks so it was a nice surprise when the push to the summit wasn’t as steep as I had anticipated. Don’t get me wrong, it was still steep af 😮‍💨

The way back was so exhausting, it felt like it was a never-ending descent. We also had to do the last 2km in complete darkness (bless our head lamps) which was sketchy affff

So so happy to accomplish this insane hike 💪
