If you are planning a trip to the Dolomites, you HAVE to add the viral “Donut Hike” to your bucket list. Hidden high up in the mountains is Rifugio Friedrich August, a stunning alpine hut serving the most incredible, fluffy, cream-filled Northern Italian donuts
How to get there:
1️⃣ Drive up to Passo Sella and park at the top (€4/hour).
2️⃣ Hike the walking path straight up to the refuge. It’s a steep but quick 25-30 minute walk.

⚠️ CRITICAL TIP: You must go early! They open at 8:00 AM and almost always sell out by 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM because of the viral crowds. Don’t miss out!

3 tips to avoid wasting time and money whilst sightseeing in Venice🇮🇹

1️⃣ Paying €90+ for a tourist gondola ride.Instead, look for a sign that says Traghetto. These are oversized public gondolas that locals use daily to cross the Grand Canal. It only costs €2 and you get the exact same on-the-water photo without the tourist price tag!

2️⃣ Eating next to St. Mark’s Square.The restaurants here have ridiculous prices for no extra value, Walk 10 minutes into the side alleys of Cannaregio or Castello for authentic, affordable pasta.

3️⃣ Visiting during peak afternoon hours.Between 11 AM and 4 PM, the day-trippers overcrowd the main bridges. Wake up at sunrise or explore after 6 PM to have the misty canals entirely to yourself.
