Overnight run 51 miles !!!
Training for my first 100 miler has not been easy, but I am making it happen!
I am just a 41 year old with wild dreams and goals! Running a household and with 3 jobs😅
When training for this long distances most focus goes to the athlete ( runner) let’s not forget about family, the pacers, crew, friends, coaches and community!
Ultra running sport is a team effort and a very humble sport!
I will be forever greatful to my friends that helped me on this night and my coach that has been helping me for a year and a half @_ultramichaelli
@diept.chairman being my pacer and keeping me alive and moving on pace goal for the last 27 miles was incredible, he knows when I am getting fatigued or hitting a wall … finds a way to keep me moving, he is a great navigator, crew, support!
Next stop is @javelinajundred in Arizona !!! #runner #trail #houstonrunner #femalerunner #explore by @explorewithyuliana

These runs were in a 90 degree weather with average 92% humidity .. just imagine that 🥵🥵🥵

Peak of training for my first 100 miler!
20 miler today
Yesterday 15 miler
Tomorrow 11!
Running in August in Houston heat is a great challenge mentally and physically.
Still practicing eating real food during long runs to prepare me for a 30 hour race in October, hydration also is key to keep your body replenished!
Feet taping was a success since I started sweating at mile 3 and feet were wet the entire time. Tape stayed on !!! Just another day in paradise! Thanks to @_ultramichaelli for all the guidance and support! #javelinajundred #runner #houstonrunner #fitnessmotivation by @explorewithyuliana

Trail aid stations transitions are important, it can save you up to hours during 100k+ races !

Sneak peak of what involves a preparation before a 100k race!
Running ultras aside from the commitment of the race takes a lot of preparation and organization.
I personally start 2 weeks prior making sure I have the food, fuel, first aid and gear needed for race day!
