Another year, another unforgettable evening at Adpai Ganesh Visarjan. ✨

As every home unveils its own unique dekhava, the village transforms into an open-air celebration of creativity, devotion, and tradition. From iconic characters of Indian mythology to incredible handcrafted creations, every dekhava tells its own story.

What makes it even more special is watching entire families come together to bring these dekhavas to life. A beautiful reflection of their hard work, unity, and the spirit that keeps this tradition alive. 🙏🌸

A glimpse of what went down today at Azad Maidan, Panjim. 🕯️

Citizens gathered for a peaceful candlelight march in solidarity with the ongoing protests across the country—raising concerns over the alleged NEET paper leak, standing with Sonam Wangchuk's movement, and demanding accountability and transparency in the education system. The march also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

An evening where voices came together in hope for justice and change.

Chorotsav – a festival like no other! ✨ Held during Shigmo in the village of Karanzol, this unique tradition brings history, repentance, and culture alive in a dramatic spectacle. From age-old rituals to the spirit of togetherness, this festival is a must-experience part of Goa’s rich heritage.

The festival forms a chapter in the village’s history. The story revolves around some youths who were killed by the villagers as they were mistaken to be robbers (Chors), though no one knows the exact history of this age-old practice. The story goes that in the past, people commuted through the forest for work or to collect produce from nature’s bounty. They travelled from village to village from the foothills, climbing across the Western Ghats. During one such daily routine, youths from a neighbouring village who were suspected to have commited robbery were killed. The distraught families of the youth, in search of their loved ones, learn of the tragic fate that had befallen them. The villagers then understand their folly and in order not to invite a curse on themselves, repent over their grave error. taken in Goa by @exploring_goa
