Join us Trekking in Slovenian Mountains and Croatian Islands in August 😍 On this trek, we summit the highest peak in the Karavanke Alps and continue along the ridge for another 30 km over the first three days. During this time, we hike across flower-carpeted slopes and also explore the beautiful hillsides of Golica. We then cross into the stunning Soča Valley, where more spectacular hiking awaits. In Slovenia, you can expect around 800–1,000 meters of ascent per day. On the fifth day, we transfer to the gorgeous Croatian islands for long coastal hikes, with refreshing dips in the sea as a well-earned reward. See details on our website - Trekking in Slovenian Mountains and Croatian Islands https://www.exploringslovenia.com/tours/trekking-in-slovenian-mountains-and-croatian-islands/

Our latest 3-day 7 Triglav Lakes Trek was amazing! We hiked through a stunning alpine valley, moving from one gorgeous lake to the next over three unforgettable days. The trails were lined with countless fragrant flowers, while the towering walls of the Julian Alps took our breath away. We were thrilled to spot abundant wildlife—playful marmots darting across the slopes and fearless ibexes that came as close as just a couple of meters.

Golden autumn sunlight filters through the tall trees, making the golden larches glow as you find yourself surrounded by high mountains. 🍁♥️
Here’s a photo from two years ago, when we were exploring the mountains above the Soča Valley in early November.

Measuring ten kilometers in length, Košuta is the longest mountain in Slovenia that boasts twelve peaks of over 2K meters. If the western side of the massif is popular with hikers due to its accessibility and relatively easy trails, among frequently visited peaks being Mt. Kofce and Veliki Vrh, the eastern side seems more remote and mysterious.
