It is absolutely mind blowing to see my name in R&T.

What an absolute dream. Huge thank you to @thesmokingtire and @roadandtrack.artdept for the trust and feedback. I am so proud of this set—these may be the best photos I’ve ever taken. Be warned, I will probably post a few more sets.

This was about a month before Megan died. She was getting ready to go into her last round of chemo and we hadn’t yet learned that it wasn’t working.

I took her to dinner at Landry’s on the lake. Megan loved lake pontchartrain so much. (Despite @missnotmaam’s mom warning her that it would make her glow in the dark, she brazenly swam in the lake as often as she could as a child.)

She’d probably hate knowing I was posting these pictures of her without any hair. She’s so beautiful. I love that if I just kept taking pictures, she’d always end up laughing—it never failed. I loved making her laugh.

Two months after losing her, it still feels unreal. I still expect her there in the morning. I ask her where things are from across the house. I wonder whose going to do all these dishes after I finish cooking. by @exploserous

I don’t like to post a lot about my personal life, but I think I need to share this.

Last week I lost my best friend, my partner, the love of my life. We tend to be pretty private people, so when Megan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in May, we didn’t really share too broadly. We thought we’d have more time. We were supposed to have more time.

Megan was the joy in my life. Anyone who knows me knows that I can be a little pessimistic—Megan showed me that things could be good. Her dream was to see the future and she made me feel like we could be hopeful about the future.

I’m glad we never put anything off. We did so much together. I loved nothing more than to see how wonderful the world could be through Megan’s eyes. I’ve watched her cry tears of joy just to be in the presence of saguaros. We rushed across towns in Japan to get a her a goshuin before a temple would close for the night. We spent weeks and weeks on the road in pursuit of visiting every US national park. There is so much more we did together that it’s kind of dizzying to think about, but there’s so much more we’ll never get to do.

I learned so much from Megan. She taught me how to make things and how to create less waste and about technology and about community.

She made everyone around her better, but she made me so much better than I ever thought I could be. Megan Myers was just too good for this world.

I legitimately can’t figure out what happens next. It’s wild to have woken up every day for a week and a half and not have this person who I’ve spent nearly every waking minute with since 2012. by @exploserous

Okay so yes this video is really dorky but also I couldn’t help myself because the gentlemen at @westsidecollectorcarstorage made my car so ridiculously clean that I just had to.

Sheesh I miss this car and these mountains. Grateful to have had the Crest and Big Tujunga basically all to myself this morning with zero closures. Yes I shot some film. It’ll be a while y’all. by @exploserous

Living in a place as openly gay as New Orleans, I find myself sometimes generalizing LA as kind of devoid of queer culture.

The truth is that you don’t really need to look very hard to find the magic. Dan and Oz are each stewards of these places that could not differ more in aesthetic while both deeply aligned in their goals to create safe havens for marginalized voices. Highly recommend supporting both of these places however you can, because they are really quite special.

Thanks to y’all for letting me document your spaces and to each person who let me capture their images.

Kind of lovely to get the photos of my last trip to LA as I’m about to head to LA again for a week. These are from my first visit to The Cub House. I’ve been a fan of Team Dream merch for such a long time and it was fantastic to see the design ethos come together into #notabikeshop.

The Cub House is truly not a bike shop—it’s welcoming, warm, unserious (without losing sight of quality), and downright fun—qualities I feel I see so rarely in bike shops.

When opening NOLA Film Plug’s first retail space, I definitely take a ton of inspiration from this visit (with any luck a future iteration of the business will have space for a few aircooled cars and bikes hanging from the rafters, too).

I am so proud of this set with Keion from a few weekends ago documenting her recent body of work, “More Than Enough.” We discussed Keion’s vision a while back and finally were able to make it happen and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Shot primarily with Kodak Gold 200 and Kono Mirage 400 with a lil expired Lomo 800 thrown in for good measure.

If there’s one thing I love about @meyersmanx, it’s the focus on fun and joy throughout the entire process. What a delight to visit the studio with Matt and check out progress on the Farah car.
