DAY 303 🌿 | Becoming 50 & Flourishing

303 days from today, I turn 50.

For a while now, I’ve been dreaming about how I want to enter this new decade- I’m in a rough season, but wanted to intentionally start a journey towards overall health

I thought I would begin this journey neatly.

I didn’t. 😩

The last few weeks have held enormous transition, some beautiful things, some painful things, and more mess than I know how to put into words right now.

And I’ve realized something:

I don’t have to wait until the garden looks better to begin tending it.

So this is Day 303.

For the next 303 days, I’m tending seven areas of my life—my little garden:

🌳 Spiritual — Olive Tree
Abiding in Christ.

🌹 Emotional — Rosebush
Growing in emotional health.

🍍 Social — Pineapple
Building community.

🌵 Mental — Cactus
Enjoying learning for life.

🌻 Physical — Sunflower
Strength for the journey.

🥑 Nutritional — Avocado
Fuel for the life I’m called to live.

🌴 Environmental — Palm
Creating spaces and rhythms to flourish.

I’m calling this year Becoming 50 & Flourishing.

This isn’t a 303-day self-improvement challenge.

I’m not starting with a perfect garden. And I don’t expect to end with one.

I simply want to pay attention. To notice what needs water, what needs pruning, what needs protection, what needs rest—and what God might be quietly growing that I can’t see yet.

And most importantly, I don’t tend any of it alone.

The Gardener is with me.

So here we go.

In this video, my mom comes to wake me up and for several interactions I refuse to move, finally she gets angry and storms off. I am terrified and immediately get up realizing, "THE SANDAL! THE SANDAL!" (Meaning she would come back and hit me with her shoe) so I get ready ASAP and am sitting awake and good to go when she gets back 😁 by @exportinglife

1- John is back!!!! We were apart 3 out of the last 4 weeks and it was really hard! So glad that he is home!! ❤️
2- Elijah got his blue belt in BJJ- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!!! Sooo proud of him! 💪
3- Elijah’s despedida with the bros. 😎
4- enjoyed a walk/ baby jog 🚶 while listening to a Rev the Word @revelationwellness with @karaosborne312 and met with God in an amazing way!!!!!! 😍

Remember when I got back home and then didn’t post on Instagram for 10 days?! Today I was like, “Oh, I forgot I was doing that!”
1- Hope napping on Bossy and Archie the cat is napping in the same room- some of you know what progress this is for our traumatized cat.
2- Hope’s summer manicure
3- I got a shimmery pedicure
4- sweet (rare) moment of siblings just being sweet
5- me and my best bud
6- cool tiny ice balls from silicone trays my mom gave me for my birthday
7- woke up to something running on our tin roof and climbed up the steps of the building behind us….. VULTURES!! They run all over our neighborhood!! 😩 no joke- I got to the top of the stairs and looked over at them- the one guy snapped his head around toward me and we made the scariest eye contact- he communicated a lot with his beady eyes!!
