As we celebrate 40 years of Grand Performances, we honor artists who carry ancestral memory forward. Extra Ancestral brought music, dance, and healing to the plaza, weaving Afrobeat, Reggae, Jazz, Salsa, and diasporic traditions into a living archive of Black resilience and survival.

Music as medicine. Movement as memory. Community as power.
