The Perfume Room 💛☁️

Scented by hundreds of bottles and the home of my samples, handwritten notes from founders and perfumers, and exquisite gifts. This space is a testament to the love of fragrance and community. Four years ago this room did not have walls (quite literally) and everything you see here was intentionally crafted. Once the room was rebuilt, my parents painted the walls that capture the golden hour light perfectly. That beautiful display case was a birthday gift from my husband. The glass shelves are custom from a local glassmaker to bear the weight of my collection. The rattan chair is my grandparents and 50+ years old. This room is more than perfume - it is a home to the effort of those I love and the passion I’ve curated over three years. I am SO excited about how this is coming together.

A lot more to come (and trust me, there are more bottles than shown here…as well as so much makeup and skincare that I can’t wait to delve into).

@danielleblairdavis said she needs to have every NYC girlie smelling like OG, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s such a gorgeous summer evening for this release. An effervescent, statement-making opening of cherry and rhubarb cut through the late afternoon warmth, with violet and woods lingering for hours.

Leave it to @granadobrazil to make a banana scent I genuinely enjoy. Banana has been a note I couldn’t get down with for a long time, but in this release, it’s far from synthetic or gourmand. On my skin it reads green, fresh, and light, with an authentic hint of fruity sweetness in the background. Smooth sandalwood and a trace of powder. Banana presented but in a subtle way, not like a candle or those crunchy yellow candies. For me, this is one of the only banana scents I find wearable. It simply feels natural and organic. 🤍

What’s in my bag - @guerlain edition 🐝

The Guerlain traveler is divine - a stunning gold case and 20ml refills across some of my favorites from the house. I hadn’t heard of this until recently and now I don’t leave home without it. I can’t wait to pick up 20mls of Herbes or Neroli Plein Sud for spring to slightly deter myself from collecting the full bottles. The skincare is so luscious, along with the mirrored lipstick case. I can’t get enough of this house.

After what feels like AGES, meeting and celebrating Rachel on her launch of Serotonin Spritz was simply a joy. @luckyscent Scent Bar in Williamsburg was decked out with the vibrant florals, crisp citrus, and the smell of a grapefruit twist on a delicious spritz. The details speak for themselves. This is one of my favorite releases from L’Epoque and I’m already excited for what’s coming next…. 🤭🤍

Hello from my latest blind buy! ❤️ Baciami Ancora takes the well-loved DNA of the original somewhere deeper. The primary notes of gardenia and vanilla are still present, but this feels less literal. Gardenia is blended into velvety white florals wrapped in a richer, ambered vanilla base. It’s a bit sweeter in the drydown for me as well. Where the original leaned crisp and like a daytime wear to my nose, Ancora feels intimate and lush. I had a 10ml of the original and never finished it, so I’m elated that this interpretation is something I connect with more. It wears like a refined, sensual, sophisticated glow.

The question I’ve been asked is, “do you need both?” If you love the OG and want to experience how it evolved, this is absolutely worth sampling before deciding (plus factoring in cost, shipping, and tariffs if you’re in the US). Of course there are similarities - in my case, I appreciate how Bvlgari preserved what Baciami is loved for and developed it into something more aligned with my taste. Absolutely full bottle worthy in my book.

Escentric Molecules continues to release some of my most-worn scents. Cologne One did not disappoint - it is so refreshing and effervescent, like sipping crisp sparkling water with bursts of citrus under the afternoon sunshine (which is exactly what I did to shoot this, and while I was shooting it 🔆). It’s a tiny bit bitter, with a bite from juniper and ginger at the top. A beautiful interpretation of a gin and tonic on skin. My favorites from the house are Iris and Champaca, but for hot summer days, I can’t think of a better fragrance in their lineup.

Scent of the day 💛

A summer favorite for today - the blissful, solar warmth of jasmine and ylang ylang plus silky coconut is radiant on skin and projects so beautifully in this crazy heat. Thank you @rojalondon for sharing some of my now-favorite summery scents with me to experience - this and Isola Verde are always in rotation.

Safanad has been on my wishlist for as long as I can remember, including before I ever tried it. Apparently I’m late to gushing about this one, and orange blossom in general as I’ve been told, but I truly love this. Honeyed, sweet, feminine, and lush - she’s everything I wanted to smell narcotic and addictive in the heat of summer.

I think the benefit of owning 500+ perfumes is that the lip color thing seems reasonable…almost. All of my products didn’t fit into this reel, but there’s something unquenchable about finding the perfect color, texture, and benefit of a good lippie.

Faux Flora No. 1 @fischersund

If you see mountain milk and saliva as key elements of a scent, what goes through your mind? No. 1 surprised me - maybe I’m too scarred from Secretions Magnifique, but this is raw and soft. The iris is the star, with a brightness from the bergamot and a luminous, musky base. Fischersund has a special place in my heart, and these compositions are always worth a try no matter how offbeat they may sound.
