Just saying… this could be you in Japan this January. 👀

Otaru, Japan | January 24–31, 2027

Skip the crowds and head to the quieter side of Hokkaido, where the powder is still very, very deep.

Mellow touring. Fresh lines. Big powder days. Incredible Japanese food and culture. And a whole lot of time chasing the goods.

Limited spots remain for our 2027 Otaru World Tour Adventure.

POV: You said yes to Argentina 2026

We had an absolutely incredible time back in Las Lenas this year. Las Lenas is the perfect cure for the summertime blues, giving us a pretty good excuse to chase winter all year long! Huge thank you to our wonderful guests for making this trip so special and our rockstar guide @javi_cruzsalas taking us to the goods.

Dates for 2027 are live, check out our website for more details to plan your next “summertime” adventure! taken in Las Leñas Resort by @extremelycanadian

WHAT IF YOUR LUNCH BREAK LASTED THREE HOURS AND INVOLVED A CHAIRLIFT?

Love early mornings and spreadsheets? Powder turns and people? Have a suspiciously strong appreciation for a good checklist? Want to work with a fabulous team of people who love living and working in the mountains? Photos attached for reference.

Extremely Canadian is hiring two Guest Experience & Program Coordinators — aka the organizational wizards who keep our Steep Skiing Clinics, Snowboard Freeride Camps, Backcountry Adventures and Winter Skills Courses running smoother than fresh corduroy on a bluebird day.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is great with people and takes pride in delivering a very high level of guest service
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is detail-obsessed (bonus points for colour-coded spreadsheets)
- Can handle a little controlled chaos and a fast-paced work environment
- Not adverse to using the phone for more than texting and doom scrolling
- Can multitask without losing the plot
- Actually enjoys organizing things
- Has a sense of humour and can appreciate a Scot’s dry wit

And here’s the kicker: the job is mostly split shifts, which means you can work and ski/snowboard every day. We’re not saying it’s the perfect winter job... but we’re also not saying it isn’t.

Season: Mid-November to mid-April
Wage: $23–$25/hour, seasons pass and other perks

Special consideration given to those willing to try to beat Robbie Dixon in the Peak to Valley.

No ya, but seriously. If you’re organized, personable, mountain-obsessed and thrive when things get a little chaotic, we’d love to hear from you. Triple word score points if you can translate a Scottish accent for me.

Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to experience some incredible cat-skiing operations around the world, but @skiarpa is a different breed.

From breathtaking terrain and knowledgeable guides to professional cat drivers who somehow seem to be able to fix anything on a dime, every part of the operation impressed us.

And the skiing? One of our best days ever.

On our very first run of the day, we could see the iconic Aconcagua in the distance, while turning around in the opposite direction gave us views all the way to the South Pacific Ocean.

We mean… does it get much cooler than that?!

With an average of 4–6 laps per day, depending on the pace of the group and conditions, Ski Arpa offers some seriously impressive vertical — with individual runs reaching up to 1,100 metres.

It was the perfect way to finish our Chilean Adventure.

Tired legs. Full bellies. Full hearts. And a whole lot of memories made along the way.

Next stop on our Chile Adventure: @skiportillo

Tucked high in the Andes, about an hour from Los Andes, Portillo is one of those ski destinations that feels like nowhere else in the world. After tackling the endless switchbacks up the mountain, we were rewarded with 360° views of some seriously breathtaking terrain.

With the iconic yellow hotel in the heart of the resort, Portillo offers the ultimate ski-in/ski-out experience. Add in incredible lift-accessed terrain, endless opportunities to push yourself, and those legendary multi-person Va et Vient lifts, and it’s easy to see why Portillo has earned its place on the ski bucket list.

Unique terrain. Big mountain views. A little bit of adventure just getting up there.

Portillo is one everyone should experience at least once.

And we’re not done yet…

At the start of summer, our snow alerts were going off for the Southern Hemisphere. So, naturally, we took it as a sign to head to South America to explore a few new destinations (and check out a perennial favourite) for our 2027 World Tour Adventures.

When we’re planning a new World Tour trip, we like to do our research firsthand. That means eating the food, sleeping in the beds, meeting the local teams, skiing the terrain, and, of course, driving all those endless South American switchbacks.

With flights booked, we headed to Chile — first stop: the Tres Montañas of Valle Nevado, El Colorado and La Parva.

Three unique resorts, each with its own personality, incredible terrain and plenty of adventure.
The Tres Montañas are the perfect way to kick off a Chile World Tour Adventure, warm up the legs, explore and progress through a variety of terrain, and get fired up for what’s still to come.

And this was only the beginning…
