knell is an album inspired by central illinois past and present, public broadcasting, nature, grief, and solitude, both painfully empty & fruitfully meditative

this release is a local history research project as much as it is an album – i had a ton of fun compiling found images into a few collages that are available as bonus downloads on bandcamp(: a bonus track & some writing are also included to peruse should you feel so inclined to throw a brother 4 dollarz.. today is also bandcamp friday so it’s the best possible time if you want to support !! i’d appreciate,

SPIGOT is a new Peoria Illinois Rock And Roll Music Band featuring the talents of three conniving but nonetheless upstanding citizens, Landon, Rice, & Kailyn. The project has been in incubation since October 2025, and will at last be making its official Live Debut on Saturday, 04/11 at the Hotbox !!

We are freaking stoked to support @breakuptour_mke in Peoria for the first time ever alongside hometown heroes @terribly_happy & our eternal allies @afters0me (:

after an arduous few weeks, today i said my last goodbyes to my house

2 years ago i was arguably at my absolute worst. i was in the middle of my only semester to date at ISU, leaving at 7am 2 days a week & not being back until late, & every other day i was up at 6am working a strenuous job i loved to death & was severely underpaid for. i was hanging with people who weren’t good for me because they were there. i was doing everything i could to avoid being at home. it was a period i only understood as lonely and miserable looking back.

at the same time, my discontentment with my body only grew and festered. i had finally made the decision to start HRT—but i knew by doing that i had set into motion a time bomb ticking down to conversations at home i still don’t think i’m fully ready for today.

every day at work i saw this house across the street and every day it taunted me until i made the call

i rallied some of my most trusted companions near and far and made it happen, because it had to

this house was the first place i ever truly called home and i will eternally treasure every moment spent here. being here brought my general quality of life and wellbeing to a healthy base level i had never experienced & since living here i’ve flourished in ways i never could have imagined. every day i woke up in a place i called my own surrounded by the people i love most. this house came into my life at the time i needed it most and everything fell into place in a way that was so perfect & so surreal

bittersweet is a feeling i’ve seldom felt before but it’s one of the more confusing, all-consuming ones. i’m more than ready for this transitional period to be over and i love my new house so much too. but leaving something so special to me behind has been hard. a place once filled with so much love & laughter now sits empty & silent, echoing like it did before we were here

i’ll miss my sunroom and seeing the park from my window, i’ll miss the way the ivy leaves grew back over my windows as the spring sprung, i’ll probably miss this broken shitty couch that isn’t ours

but there’s plenty i won’t miss too !
