Our final visit on our driving tour was to Arches National Park, just outside of Moab. There are over 2,000 natural arches in this park. Lots of beautiful hikes, wildflowers, few crowds, and we even got to witness one of nature’s best: a desert thunderstorm. Our hotel was a stones throw from the Colorado River where we saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Such a gorgeous part of our country. by @eye4london

Onward on our park tour, we visited Capitol Reef National Park. We hiked into some desolate canyons and viewed petroglyphs (2nd photo) that are estimated to have been created between 300-1300 CE.It was quite the barren drive from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef. Reminded us of Iceland, minus the snow/ice- a whole lot of wide open plains with crazy cool mountains all around. taken in Capitol Reef National Park by @eye4london

Next stop, Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. This area reminded us a lot of the Grand Canyon in AZ. The sandstone formations and “hoodoos”* are amazing!(*Southern Paiute word which refers to something that is scary). Hoodoos are formed by years of erosion, rain, blowing sand all cementing together by calcite, silica or iron oxide. These foundations were formed 50-60 million years ago. Fascinating! taken in Bryce Canyon National Park by @eye4london

Churchill Arms - THE prettiest pub in London; especially at Christmastime. The Churchill Arms was built in 1750 and Winston Churchill’s grandparents were regular patrons in the 1800s. The Churchill Arms claims to be the first pub to serve Thai food in London. It’s equally as festive in the summer when it’s covered in about £25,000 of gorgeous window boxes, pots and hanging baskets. taken in The Churchill Arms, Kensington by @eye4london

On the 35th anniversary of the wall coming down that divided East Berlin from the German Democratic Republic, we visited Berlin. A beautiful, metropolitan city with rich history. We walked miles visiting sites such as the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, museums, Reichstag Building, Holocaust memorial, and most importantly we caught up with dear family who live in the city. The days were short due to the time of year, so we look forward to going back for some warm summer weather! #berlin #germany taken in Berlin, Germany by @eye4london
