👁🪶 SNEC Eyeball 2026 — A Visual Expedition

This year, alongside Professor Dr Ho Ching Lin (@eyedoc_sg), we charted a journey from darkness into light: from a shadowed realm into a radiant paradise of colour.

The tango brought drama and tension. The samba answered in celebration, vivid and alive. Together, they reflected the dedication behind protecting and restoring sight.

It was a privilege and an honour to create alongside Professor Ho, bringing our shared vision to life through choreography, costume, animated backdrops, lighting and the experience of the evening as a whole.

Congratulations to the team behind Eyeball 2026 on a deeply meaningful evening, and on raising a remarkable S$3.47 million towards preventing blindness and improving sight. by @eyedoc_sg

#throwback Over 500 guests gathered for EYEBALL 2026, our annual charity gala dinner themed Vision Expedition, with guests embracing the safari theme in creative costumes last Saturday. This is the 14th Annual edition of the Eye Ball.

The evening raised a record $3.39 million in support of our work to support eyecare research, education and financial aid for patients in need.

A meaningful highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Visionary Award 2026 to Mr Tony Chew, Founding Chairman of Duke-NUS Medical School, former Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, and former Chairman of the SGH Fund Committee, and his wife, Dr Melanie Chew, a distinguished historian, educator, and social innovator. The award recognised their outstanding contributions and commitment to making a positive difference in the community.

The evening took guests on a lively journey through music and performance. Dancers’ Dream Studio brought the safari theme to life with an energetic dance performance that set the tone for the celebrations. Our SNEC doctors also showcased their talents beyond the clinic, with Dr Howard Cajucom-Uy Yu delighting guests with a charming solo rendition of Come Fly With Me. This was followed by Dr Loo Cheng Yi and Dr Elizabeth Lim, who captivated the audience with a heartfelt duet of Colors of the Wind. Adding to the excitement was another high-energy dance performance by SNEC’s Clinical Associate Prof Ho Ching Lin, with her dance partner Skye Tan that drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The evening continued with a live auction led by auctioneer Mr Shaun McEwan, with guests coming together to support the cause. Our Vision Expedition then brought us to one of the most meaningful stops of the evening the Power Pledge. Guests came together to raise funds in support of our nurses, helping them continue the vital work they do in caring for patients and transforming lives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making EYEBALL 2026: Vision Expedition an evening of generosity, community and shared purpose.

Together, we continue to prevent blindness and improve sight.

A night on the wild side — for a cause that matters.

The Eye Ball 2026 took over @ritzcarltonmilleniasingapore on Saturday evening with a Safari theme, bringing out some wonderfully adventurous looks from its guests. Organising Committee Chair #DrHoChingLin @eyedoc_sg even took to the stage for a special performance.

More importantly, the evening raised over S$3.39 million through donations and a live auction, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of supporters.

Funds raised will support VisionSave, the sight-saving initiative jointly driven by the Singapore National Eye Centre and Singapore Eye Research Institute @snec_seri.

Two pita pals making a falafel fashion. Yes we're considering this our first Barbie collab piece. Made from @wewantwewa's pita sleeves and tray liners, this #flushablefashion was made on the spot at the restaurant in the middle of dinner, with flawless darting, great pleats, a deconstructed bow to break the monotony and a clutch that both of us actually want in human scale. They told us #messynevertastedbetter, we showed them messy never looked better.
