🏙️ Frankfurt am Main International Session is happening in exactly a year!

From the 24th to 31st of July 2027, the 106th International Session of the European Youth Parliament will welcome around 300 young people from all over Europe.

Under the theme of ‘A vision for a resilient Europe’ they will share ideas, debate, and develop a collective vision for the future of the European Union. In committees, the young people will engage intensively with topics such as European security policy, economic innovation, and robust democracy, and work out how the EU can stand up for its values at all these levels.

As a strong economic hub, centre of EU financial policy, and cornerstone of German democracy, Frankfurt am Main presents itself as the perfect host city.

After 8 years since hosting the last International Session in Germany, we can’t wait to welcome the network of EYP in Frankfurt am Main 2027. See you in a year! ⭐️ by @eypde

From Idea to Impact: Citizens, Participation and Democratic Innovation in Europe
How can citizens play a more direct role in shaping democratic decisions? Deliberative democracy is an approach that brings together randomly selected citizens to discuss public issues and develop recommendations for policymakers. Increasingly, citizens' assemblies and citizens' councils are being used across Europe to address complex political challenges.

Miora Ranaivoarinosy, who has been developing and supporting innovative initiatives that drive social change for over 20 years. She works with businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities to promote sustainability, combat poverty, and foster collaboration.

Whose Europe? Youth and Participation in an ever-changing Europe

Join us for this round-table discussion to debate about political participation, generational justice, and the growing appeal of right-wing movements among some young voters. This panel explores the role of European youth civil society organisations in a rapidly changing political landscape, while portraying “the youth” as what they truly are - a heterogenous group with different goals, skills, and backgrounds.

Featuring:
• Eli (@eli.yoma)
• Ayojide
