26.2 miles. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but every step had purpose.

I ran this marathon for my Mummy, carrying her with me the whole way. I ran to raise money for the Garden House Hospice who cared for her with so much love, dignity and kindness in her final days. Their compassion meant everything to us, and I’ll never forget it.

When I didn’t think I could carry on, I thought of my Mum. Her strength, her laughter even in the darkest of times, the way she loved and cared for everyone without exception, the fun we always had and how she NEVER gave up. I am so proud to be Anna Sopowski’s daughter. This medal is for you Mum 🤍🪽I love you forever x

Thank you to everyone who supported me, donated, and believed in me, I can’t thank you enough❤️ If you can donate or share please click the link in my bio, it makes such a massive difference to an essential service in our community🎉

A few moments from the best day of my life!🥲 I met and spoke to my heroes and they were even more kind and lovely than I could have ever dreamed of. I found the one ring, helped Gandalf to enter the mines of Moria and I met so many people who love The Lord of the Rings🧙🏻‍♂️❤️Most importantly I had the most beautiful ladies with me on the journey who have been my sister and second Mummy since I was 4 years old, this day would have been nothing without them🌷thank you @rosanna27abella and @abella.fran I love you both forever ❤️ @ftlofantasy by @ezelmeliz

Since I was nine years old, I have felt like the hobbits of the Shire have walked beside me through every season of my life. Through their laughter, loyalty, and quiet bravery, they showed me that true strength lies not in power, but in friendship, kindness, and love. They carried me through my own dark places, reminding me to keep walking no matter how heavy or hopeless the road felt.

They taught me that even the smallest person can change the course of the future, and that not all those who wander are lost.

I was so nervous to meet them, but they were unbelievably warm, kind, and welcoming. Each of them hugged me, and Elijah Wood told me I smelt lovely, which made my life complete! Sean Astin was every bit the real life Samwise, while Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd were their cheeky, joyful selves as always. It felt just like meeting up with old friends at the Green Dragon after a hard days work! Thank you all so much for everything ❤️🥰 @elijahwood.officially @dom_monaghan_ @boydbilly by @ezelmeliz

Stories have a way of carrying us when we can no longer carry ourselves. Through my darkest days, Gandalf’s voice was that reminder to endure, to hold on, to believe that the light will return. Meeting him was more than just meeting an actor, it was as though I glimpsed the very spirit of Mithrandir himself. He was warm, gracious, and so deeply kind, and in his presence I felt that same spark of courage I’ve always drawn from Middle-earth and Tolkien. This memory will shine in my heart like a star in shadow and I will never forget the lovely things he said to me. Thank you Sir @ianmckellen for being a shining light in our world ❤️🧙🏻‍♂️ by @ezelmeliz
