Avoid Over-Familiarity; do not take God for Granted

The king discovered a guest without a wedding garment. This man may have come in wearing his wedding garment (otherwise, he would have been turned back at the gate). Having begun well, he must have become so relaxed that he removed his wedding garment. Never take God for granted. Do not quench that lighted candle. Do not sink into sin.

On the other hand, this man may not have had wedding garments. In that case, what stopped him from borrowing before attending the banquet? Do not rely on your strength alone. To win the race set before us, we must be prayerful. We must always be fully dressed for action. (Cf. Ephesians 6:11-18).

Finally, for those who think that dressing doesn’t matter, this parable reminds us of the saying: “Dress as you like to be addressed.” The clothes you wear at any time speak volumes about you. Children of God, clothes are meant to cover your body, not expose it. Avoid immoral or sexually provocative dressing.

Let us pray: May your grace, O Lord, we pray, at all times go before us and follow after and make us always determined to carry out good works. Amen.

KADIFF Reaffirms Commitment to Capacity Building as MultiChoice Talent Factory in partnership with Director's guild of Nigeria Hosts Kaduna Workshop

The MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF), @multichoicetalentfactorywa , in partnership with the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) @directorsguildofnigeria , successfully hosted its North-West Regional Workshop in Kaduna, equipping emerging filmmakers and creatives with practical industry knowledge in directing, distribution and monetisation.

The programme featured insightful sessions led by industry experts, including Patrick Lee, who spoke on “Distribution and Monetisation,” and renowned filmmaker Adeniyi Joseph Omobulejo (TAJ), who facilitated a session on “Directing.”

The two-day workshop brought together filmmakers, directors and stakeholders, with support from the Director-General of Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), Audu Kashim Israel, and filmmaker Toka McBaror Chairman AGN, Kaduna chapter.

KADIFF remains committed to promoting capacity building, mentorship and partnerships that strengthen Northern Nigeria’s creative industry and empower the next generation of storytellers.

Use Your Opportunities in Life, or They Will Go to Others.

Jesus concludes our Gospel passage: “Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.” (Matthew 21:43). Dear friends, we must certainly do God’s will. If we refuse to cooperate with God, He will surely find willing others. As Jesus said in our Gospel passage last Sunday: “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.” (Matthew 21:31)

Your talents are gifts; your parents are gifts; your unique experiences in life are gifts –they are all opportunities in disguise. God does not work arbitrarily; He plans long before He does something (Cf. Jeremiah 29:11). Nothing happens by chance. Your life is not a mistake. Consider everything that has ever happened to you as God’s way of planting a vineyard, setting the hedge, digging a wine press and building a tower for you. Now, God expects you to bear fruit. You must give an account of your life.

Let us pray: Almighty ever-living God, who, in the abundance of your kindness, surpasses the merits and the desires of those who entreat you, pour out your mercy upon us to pardon what conscience dreads and to give what prayer does not dare to ask. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen

COURTESY VISIT TO THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA TO NIGERIA

The Director-General of the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), Audu Kashim Israel, @ezzykash recently paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Nigeria, His Excellency Aiyub Omar.

The visit provided an opportunity for a fruitful engagement in strengthening cultural and creative ties between Nigeria and Malaysia, particularly through the power of film, arts, cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy.

During the meeting, the DG highlighted the growing role of KADIFF as a platform for international collaboration, cultural diplomacy and the promotion of African cinema, while exploring opportunities for greater engagement with Malaysian filmmakers, institutions and cultural stakeholders.

The meeting also underscored the importance of creating platforms that foster mutual understanding, knowledge exchange and stronger relationships between the creative communities of both countries.

KADIFF remains committed to using the creative industry as a bridge for international friendship, cultural exchange and sustainable collaboration.
