Chester, my Cookie. 🤍

You were so much more than just my dog. You were my baby, my best friend, my family, my light, and one of the greatest loves of my life. You were there through so many pieces of my life, loving me in the purest and most unconditional way. Words will never be enough to explain how much I love you or how much you meant to me.

A piece of me broke when you left this earth. I don’t think I was ever going to be ready for a life where I couldn’t hold you, see your little face, or have you beside me. Right now, I feel heartbroken and lost, and I know learning how to live without you is going to take time.

But even through the heartbreak, my faith gives me light. The gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me that love and family are eternal, and because of Him, death is not the end. I hold onto the hope that somehow, someday, I will see you again.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death… neither shall there be any more pain.”

Chester, how is heaven?

I picture you peaceful now. No fear in your chest, no pain in your body just peace.

I picture God beside you, telling you that it’s okay to rest, that you don’t have to hurt anymore. And maybe, somehow, you can still see me. Maybe you know when I’m thinking about you. Maybe you’re the reason I keep looking toward the light when everything down here feels dark. Until then, I’ll keep talking to you. I’ll keep loving you. I’ll keep carrying you everywhere I go, because death could never take away what you gave me. 🪽❤️ by @f_brg18
