I am SO honored to receive the 2026 BRIC B Free Award for Community Voices in Podcasting. 🏆✨

Thank you to @bricbrooklyn and Brooklyn Free Speech for believing in authentic storytelling and creating space for voices like mine. I’m deeply grateful.

This award is for every woman learning that life after 50 is not the ending… it’s the becoming.

We’re not winding down — we’re leveling up.

Sometimes the right environment doesn’t just educate you… it reminds you who you are.

Tomorrow on 50ish & Fab, I sit down with Dr. Fredara Mareva Hadley — HBCU graduate, ethnomusicologist, author, and professor at the Juilliard School — for a powerful conversation about HBCUs, identity, music, mentorship, resilience, and the communities that shape our lives.

Lift Every Voice is funny, soulful, inspiring, and deeply personal — a reminder that one opportunity, one mentor, or one community can change the direction of your entire life.

If you’ve ever needed to be reminded that your story still matters… this episode is for you. #50ishAndFab #HBCU #BlackExcellence #PodcastForWomen #WomenOver50 #MidlifeReinvention #BlackCulture #EducationMatters #Mentorship #famu #ncat #PersonalGrowth #WomenWhoLead #Juilliard #SoulfulConversations by @fab50ish

Join KC Sonshine and her long time friend, Sy Locklair as they talk the good, bad and ugly about multi-generational friendships and how to maintain friendships effectively as grown ups. In this episode of 50ish & Fab: The Hot Flash Report, we’re taking it back to the days of scrunchies, slow jams, and sisterhood TLC-style friendships. But we’re also getting real about what friendship looks like at 50 and beyond. www.thehotflashreport.com taken in Brooklyn, New York by @fab50ish
