Time for a little re-introduction! ✨️
Hi - I'm Carina, a 30 something year old coffee obsessed creative gal based in the North East of England. After studying Fine Art at university, I spent years brewing up a storm at my dad's café before we launched our own speciality coffee roastery @kaffeehauscoffeeuk together ☕️
Although my 9-5 feeds my coffee addiction, my creative heart has been craving an outlet beyond the daily grind.
So allow me to introduce - Fable & Yarn! 📚🧶 A space for me to share my passions and showcase my creations. From current reads and book reviews to painting, printmaking, and crochet projects - I look forward to connecting with like-minded souls 🥰 by @fableandyarnstudio

Solo coffee date at my favourite @paperandpark ☕️ ✨️Time to get stuck into Empire of the Damned 📚 I can't wait to see how this story develops and I'm also hoping the narration style of book one continues cause I really enjoyed it 😊 Has anyone else read this this series yet?

Throwback to one of my favourite A-Level paintings ✨️ I was at my parents the other day where it's displayed in their hallway, and whenever I see it there I always feel a sense of nostalgia for my art days at school where I feel I created some of my best work ❤️
I'm so rusty from not painting properly in years and really wish I had more time to get stuck into a bigger piece again.
You can see the full painting on slide two. The first is me experimenting with framing to see how it might look as a framed print, which I'm tempted to order so I can have a copy in my home too! 😊

October means getting stock ready for Christmas Markets 🎄 I've got a list a mile long of projects that need completing from crocheting book sleeves, printing cards, painting baubles... and one of my first tasks was rounding off the corners of my bookmarks 📚 Any other makers participating in Christmas Markets this year?? 😀

How much yarn is too much yarn when you don't have any specific projects planned, and just keep buying more cause you love the colours, and you might just have a slight addiction to buying pretty yarns... asking for a friend 😂🧶

Cosy little coffee date to finish the last few chapters of Klara And The Sun! ✨️ As excited as I've been for my Autumn Hopefuls, I've been struggling to find the time to finally finish this book and stuck into my autumn tbr. As Autumn is always my busiest period due to having to make stock for my Christmas markets, I end up not having as much physical reading time as I initially hoped, but at least I can get my audiobooks listened to whilst painting and crafting 🥰
Are any of you currentlystrugglingto finisha book?!

Finally picked up my copy of Threshing Day 😍 I hadn't planned on purchasing it so soon or in hardback as a. I still haven't actually read Onyx Storm yet 🙈 and b. I have the trilogy in paperback and usually like to have completed sets in the same format. However, when I saw how gorgeous the Threshing Day illustrations were, I just couldn't resist treating myself to the hardback so I popped along to @paperandpark to pick up a copy today and obviously stayed for a coffee too. I also couldn't walk away without a new candle addition as the Spiced Vanilla candle was just too good to miss ✨️
Now I just need to get cosy and re-read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame before I can dive into Onyx Storm and Threshing Day 🤩

Every year I get so excited by my Autumn TBR list that I always end up biting off more than I can chew. There’s just something about the cosy ‘ber’ months that have me craving copious mugs of rooibos tea and getting lost between the pages of a good book. What’s your top 3 Autumn Hopefuls?
