A pregnancy can change a lot of things, and sometimes two people who weren't even planning to get married suddenly find themselves having to decide about marriage.

We asked 6 Nigerian women who married because of pregnancy if they would make the same decision again. I know this is a topic a lot of people will have something to say about, especially when you consider the pressure from family, society, and the pregnancy itself.

Am I the only one who believes that we don’t have enough parenting conversations, especially about our differences?

I know that no matter how much we date and talk before marriage, conversations outside marriage aren't the same as conversations inside marriage because a lot has changed.

That is why I want us to start having more conversations like this because I know some parents are also reading this, and some of the experiences being shared will help them know exactly what part of their own parenting they may need to improve.

So tell us, if you and your partner had a big difference in your parenting styles, what became the middle ground for you? Or how did you resolve it? by @fabmumng

In fact, when we asked this question, the lawyer kept going in circles, unwilling to give us a final price because she didn’t want to share a figure we could post and have people argue about. But I made it clear we were only looking for an estimate of what it could cost, not a fixed price.

If you go through the slides, you’re also going to see some of the things that can affect why the pricing is different. For example, lawyers may charge per court appearance. So, if somebody has 10 court appearances and another person has 20, you don’t expect their total cost to be the same.

If there is a dispute in one case and there isn’t one in another, you also cannot expect both cases to take the same amount of time or cost the same amount. So please go through the slides and keep in mind this is only an idea.

More importantly, this is just one person’s opinion, and we want to hear from other people who have actually gone through the process.

If you know anyone who got divorced, or you had to deal with this yourself, please tell us how much it cost you so more people can have an idea of what to expect.

I know someone who got hers done for ₦500,000, but that was about three years ago, so I’m not sure what the price is now. Do tell us in the comments. by @fabmumng

My worry is where this oil could end up next, and whether the families consuming it would ever know. 😩

A tanker carrying 33,000 litres of groundnut oil overturned near Abiola Garden, around Ojota Bridge, Lagos, on October 14. Residents were filmed scooping the spilled oil from the road.

LASTMA warned against consuming or selling the recovered oil because of possible contamination from road debris and drainage water.

Imagine buying cooking oil or a plate of food without knowing this was where the oil came from. That possibility is worrying. 💔

Building a house is not a small project. It involves many sacrifices, even for someone who already has it all figured out.

We asked couples who have built or bought their own homes to tell us how they actually pulled it off. I know some of you will definitely need this gist.

Some started with land, some saved gradually, some took loans, and some made serious sacrifices along the way. You need to pay attention to this one because some of these stories may give you an idea you haven’t considered before. 👀
