Nobody told you taxes were changing. Now they have.

Nigeria’s Tax Reform Act, signed into law on June 26, 2025, is now fully in effect as of January 1, 2026. And whether you earn a salary, run a business, or send invoices, the impact is real.

There’s been a lot of noise. Opinions everywhere. But if you’ve listened to it all and still feel unclear, you’re not alone.

That’s why we’re having this conversation.

🎙️ Our first podcast of the year, and we’re back bigger, sharper, and better.

In just 42 minutes, we’ll break it all down: What’s changed, what it could cost you if you ignore it, and what smart professionals and business owners are already doing to stay ahead.

No vague explanations. Just clear, practical insights you can act on immediately. Link in bio. Hurry now!

PEOPLE. COMMUNITY & ITS SOPHISTICATION.

The world as it is now didn't just appear. Before systems, before money, and before institutions, all there was were people, living in small communities, meeting simple needs, sharing stories, working the land, and contributing to one another’s survival.

But as communities grew, something else grew with them: structure, leadership, responsibility, and sophistication. What began as survival slowly became organization.

What began as contributions slowly became systems, and from these systems, the foundations of what we now call the global economy were formed.

To understand your income, your career, your opportunities, and your place in the world today, you must first understand how human communities evolved into structured societies.

This is The Global Economy & You.
And it begins with people. 🌍

Day 3

The term "economy" is not just in the big words like "recession," "GDP," and "inflation" we throw around but rooted in something every human needs, contribution and connection.

Today, over 8 billion of us are living inside one vast, interconnected economic structure, whether we are conscious of it or not

But before all of that, there was something much simpler.
Everything we now call “the global economy” grew from those very basic needs, from small communities to trade to systems to the complex world we live in today.

To truly understand where you fit, you don’t start at the headlines. You start at the beginning.
This is about understanding the simple foundations that shape your income, your career, your opportunities, and your future.

Welcome to The Global Economy & You.
Let’s build the big picture from the beginning. 🌍

I’ve always been curious about how things work.
That curiosity took me from engineering into administration, governance, institutions, and eventually into asking bigger questions about the world itself.

Somewhere along the line, I realised something important:
nothing exists in isolation.
Not careers. Not businesses. Not nations. Not you.

Whether you realise it or not, you are already part of a vast, interconnected global system and understanding that system changes how you see your place, your growth, and your possibilities.

This series is about zooming out.
Seeing the big picture.
And learning where you fit within it.

Welcome to The Global Economy & You.
More conversations ahead. 🥂 by @fabodex

Day one. Hitting the ground running with no scripts and no pressure to be perfect.

This isn’t my first time creating content, but this is me choosing to be more intentional about sharing my thoughts, perspectives, and the things I’ve learned along the way.

I don’t have everything figured out yet, and that’s the point. This is just me putting words to thoughts, documenting growth, and opening up conversations about the economy, value, perspective, and how what we do fits into the bigger picture.

Think of this as perspectives, not prescriptions.
Reflections, not lectures.
