Our sweet baby girl.

Steven went out one day to pick up food for Coal and came back with the tiniest, most perfect kitten. We named her Cinder. Our baby girl.

For almost 18 years, she filled our home with her voice. The loudest meow, always calling out, always letting us know she’s here! She drove us crazy and we would give anything to hear it again. And that purr, louder than any motorcycle, constant and comforting. I will miss that sound more than I can explain.

She loved being outside, stretched out in the sunlight, in total joy. Or perched on the windowsill, chattering and clicking at the birds.

Her zoomies were unforgettable. She would launch herself through the back door drape like a torpedo, full speed, unstoppable. Her energy was infectious. So big, so alive. And at the same time, she carried this calm, regal, and sweet presence that made everything feel okay just by being near her.

She helped carry us through losing Coal. She stayed close, filled the silence, gave us something to hold onto. And now we will spend the rest of our lives wrapped in the memories of both of them.

We will still listen for her. We will still look for her, especially every time I shower.

She was never just a pet. She was part of us.

Our sweet baby girl, always.

We love you forever. 🖤🤍🩶🧡 taken in New York, New York by @fabulance

Pride doesn’t expire after June. It’s a movement, pulsing in every city, every celebration, and every act of authenticity. J.Lo (and duh, ACH) reigned as the ultimate supportive queens. 💎 taken in Washington, D.C. by @fabulance
