I got this great idea from IG for 12 months of solo dates. Each month is a different activity. Doing things solo isn't new for me! I even took an 8-day solo vacay in 2021 to Cancun, Mexico. This month I dined at @stone_cut_bistro for the first time. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I had my pen, journal, and stickers. I reflected on 2025 and planning for 2026. As we approach Founders' Day, I think about the many women who lit the path for my AKA journey. As a high school senior, I became a Debutante sponsored by my hometown local chapter, Beta Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I didn't know much about the sorority then, but the women I saw exuded class, style, and confidence. I knew one day I wanted to join this organization.

With this being National Mentoring Month, I wanted to highlight one of my mentors who captures the quality and essence of the women I admired as a Debutante. That mentor is Carrie J. Clark. I had the pleasure of serving as a Graduate Advisor under Carrie's leadership as the 29th Great Lakes Regional Director. Her affinity for our undergraduate members, out-of-the-box thinking, and servant leadership style served as a template for how to lead our younger members. Being relatable and engaging while leading with strategy and heart served as a guide in my roles as Graduate Advisor and Chapter President.

Thank you, Carrie, for being an inspiration to me and our younger sorority sisters who will be our future leaders.

Hearing the words pre-diabetic helped push me into action. Plus I wanted to challenge myself to be consistent in one thing. So I started the 75 medium challenge. I worked out 75 days straight. 10lbs gone. A1C level - normal! 75 days will pass whether you do something or not! #75mediumchallenge by @fabulessfinder
