That’s fucking why. OF COURSE I’M ANGRY! You should be angry too! You should care about the colossal amount of suffering we cause for transient pleasure and convenience.

Every day, vegans have conversations with people who think we’re “too extreme”, “too preachy”, “too aggressive”.

Maybe… only because you’re not listening to the victims!

👉What’s actually extreme is bringing billions of animals to the world every year just to use them and kill them.

👉You don’t think your current notion of what is right and wrong was “preached” to you?

👉I think what’s aggressive is the oppressive and entitled mentality that historically has empowered some to exploit others.

After almost 12 years, I just can’t believe most people aren’t even able to allow themselves to consider this.

We bring to this world 75,000,000,000 chickens every year, just to let them grow for a few weeks so we can eat their wings and breast.

Each of them is an individual just like Basil and Shrimp.

From the Atlantic to the Pacific with Toronto in between, our home is now here ⛰️ I’ve moved continents, but this 5K Km move was no joke!

I was dying to take Daniel to Capilano Bridge, I remembered it so vividly from A DECADE ago 👵 but we’re also excited to explore many new places.

This is a great city, the nature is incredible, we love having mountains and salt water again 🌊 and Daniel is adapting to his new job better every day.

On the other hand, the drug epidemic is H A R D to witness. Seeing so many people affected by it, bent like playdough, walking like zombies… consuming in the middle of the street… ODing in the middle of the street. It’s devastating.

I am learning how we got here and what I can do to help. Please message me if you have any insights or if you just want to talk about it.

We FaceTimed my grandmother when we took the second picture and she has since suggested different ways for us to kidnap the babies 🤣

I had these pics and videos from a recent visit this summer to @happilyeveresther with my sis @liv_rm 💚

It was my second time visiting this amazing farm sanctuary and neither time I was able to meet @estherthewonderpig 🐷

However, even without ever meeting her, I appreciated her. I followed her adventures, I fell in love with her brother Corno who also passed earlier this year, and most importantly, I was able to witness the impact her story had on so many people 🥰

For those that don’t know the story, Esther was purchased as a “mini pig”, out of sheer vanity, expected to be small and pink her whole life to serve as someone’s “pet”, almost an accessory 🥺

Luckily, as she started growing, her humans were able to move and give her an amazing life instead of dumping her, like most people do in these situations 😔

Even more luckily, they realized Esther was an individual, just like their cats and dogs: she had a personality, likes and dislikes, and she was able to feel emotions, both good and bad 🥹

So they went vegan and opened a sanctuary for animals rescued from neglect and from the industries that exploit them for their bodies 🙏

You were an absolute icon, Esther, and you will be missed 🖤
