61 years old. Six months after surgery.

This patient initially came to see me to discuss a facelift, but during her consultation, it became clear that the changes around her eyes, particularly her lower eyelids, were what bothered her most.

She also had laxity through the lower face and neck, loss of facial volume, and the effects of years of sun exposure. I wanted to create a surgical plan that addressed these areas together and brought balance back to the face as a whole.

Her surgery included a deep plane facelift, deep neck contouring, brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, fat transfer, and full-face laser resurfacing.

At six months, I particularly appreciate the improvement around her eyes, the definition through her jawline and neck, and the restoration of facial volume. Resurfacing the skin was also an important part of this case, addressing years of sun damage and improving the overall quality of her skin.

For me, the best surgical plans are not built around a list of procedures. They begin with understanding the patient, studying the face as a whole, and determining what will create the most balanced result.

When I evaluate the eyes, I’m looking at more than excess eyelid skin. I’m also assessing the lower eyelids, volume loss around the eyes, the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek, and the quality of the skin itself.

For this 45-year-old patient, we combined upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer and laser resurfacing beneath the eyes.

Each procedure serves a different purpose: blepharoplasty addresses the eyelid anatomy, fat transfer restores lost volume, and laser resurfacing improves fine lines and skin quality.
