What looked like luck was years of sacrifice no one saw.

It was working 16 hour shifts and still making time for my passion. Lugging my kit around TTC, showing up even though I was exhausted, and taking jobs for free just to prove what I could do.

It was moving to a new country, adjusting to a completely different life and carrying the responsibility of providing for an entire family. It was losing my car, my kit, grieving, crying between appointments and showing up for my clients while quietly falling apart.

It was the day I thought I had gained everything…and almost lost myself instead.

Then came the day I decided to take back control of my life.

Now I’m rebuilding. My life. My name. My business. My confidence. My passion.

So no, it wasn’t luck. It was resilience. It was sacrifice. It was choosing not to give up, even on the days when I had every reason to.

I may be rebuilding, but I’m not starting from scratch. I’m starting again with experience, from everything that tried and failed to break me.

You see the finished looks. This is the story behind the brush. 👩🏻‍🎨🤍

This was such a special one. Little did I know that when I entered the cosmetics program at Seneca College 14 years ago, I would meet a sister for life 🤍

I am endlessly proud of the woman you are and continue to become. Watching you blossom and shine through the stages of life has been so beautiful to experience. Thank you for being you - and for trusting me with your wedding day glam.
