Hi 👋 I’m Dr. Leah, SHE-E-O of Faces by Leah Microblading + Makeup and AAURA Salon & Spa Suites 💕 This is my story👇 Born and raised in Baton Rouge, I’ve ALWAYS been an artist. I was the girl constantly drawing and painting in school. Back then, I never imagined it could become a real career. I graduated from LSU in 2007, immediately moving to Mississippi to begin my career as a journalist. I loved storytelling, but the reality was my salary barely covered “adulting.” So like any true elder millennial, when times get tough, you start a side hustle. Enter MAC Cosmetics 🖤 The mid-2000s were the glory days at MAC. The bright colors! The outrageous fashion! It was a vibe! I fell in love with makeup and made the decision to trade my pen for a brush. In 2010, I moved back home. Now working at the MAC store in the Mall of LA, I held every role in the store, eventually becoming a company executive leading an entire MAC territory across three states. Then COVID hit 😔 I was laid off after 13 years. I remember how real it all felt when I had to turn in my company car. Then I sold my house and downsized in a state of overwhelm. I bled my 401k trying to survive. Now in my late 30s, I quietly wondered if I had lost my direction. But in all of that chaos, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. In 2021, I took my first permanent makeup course, and shortly thereafter, I opened Faces by Leah inside a 120-sq-ft suite. Growth was slow and steady. I assembled a hair and makeup team. By year three, I had relocated to a 2,000-sq-ft commercial building and built out additional suites for rent. I named her AAURA Salon & Spa Suites. And now here we are … 19 years in the industry. If you’re here supporting the journey, THANK YOU. It means everything to the then 23-year-old baby MAC artist who dared to dream of something bigger than herself. Hello, November 🍂🧡 Wooooowwww. October kept us BOOKED! Between Homecomings, Halloween, makeup lessons, permanent makeup and bridal parties, we had a month full of so many special moments with our clients. Now, we’re taking a brief pause from the chair to work on something very exciting that we’ve been floating on our social platforms: more cosmetics from Faces by Leah! 💄💕🙌 Our clients have shown our custom lipsticks and lipglosses so much love since they first launched in 2022. Y’all have also made it clear that you’re ready for more … lip pencils, eye shadows, blushes, brushes… We’ve been listening. We hear you. And we can’t wait to bring you the next chapter of this collection! 🚨Important: the Faces by Leah studio will be closed until Thursday 11/5 to give our team time to focus on product testing, design and development behind the scenes. There’s so much that goes into bringing beauty products to life, and we’re putting care into every detail. For now, we’re keeping a lot of the specs under wraps, but just know your makeup bag has something to look forward to before the end of 2026 🎉✨ In the meantime, online booking for holiday events and Mardi Gras is open! Let’s get your glam on the calendar before it fills up. 📲 Book your next appointment and shop our current lipstick/lipgloss stock by tapping the link in our bio ↗️ Here’s to a beautiful November and making room for what’s next! 🥂 📸 x @hopedewaldphotography • • • 🩷GET THE GLAM: BOOK, SHOP & GET IN TOUCH BY CLICKING THE LINK IN OUR BIO🩷 facesbyleah batonrougemakeup batonrougehair instamakeup wakeupandmakeup makeupartist batonrougemakeupartist louisianamakeupartist batonrougemua neworleansmua louisianamua mua pmu pmuartist microbladingbatonrouge microbladinglouisiana powderbrowsbatonrouge ombrebrowsbatonrouge lipblushbatonrouge by @facesbyleah

Our FIFTH ANNUAL Influential BWN Bus Tour did NOT disappoint! 🚌💗 One of our favorite traditions is piling onto a limo bus and spending the morning visiting the brick-and-mortar businesses of our very own BWN members. It’s always so much fun to see their spaces, get a peek behind the scenes, and hear more about what they’ve built. 🙌 What makes this day so special is hearing their stories. ✨ Every one of these women has experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows of business ownership, and every one of them has had a network of women to lean on through every season. Their testimonies left us feeling inspired, encouraged, and ready to get back to our own businesses and do BIG things! This is what Influential BWN is all about. Supporting each other, celebrating each other’s wins, sharing the hard lessons, and reminding one another that we don’t have to figure it all out alone. If this is the kind of community your business needs, it’s time to join us! Comment LINK and we’ll send you all the membership information. We would LOVE to have you at the table! 💗 2026 Tour Stops: @aaurasuites @facesbyleah @arnoldnutritioncoaching @revivewellnessbr @highfive_ceramics @sweetbatonrouge @stewardandjames @esther_stylingbrand @integrativespinepelvichealth Shoutout to @riversidebrla for taking great care of us, as always!!! #womeninbusiness #femaleentrepreneur #smallbusinessowner #femaleentrepreneurlife #womenowned by @facesbyleah

What happens when your clients start asking for more and you realize there’s an opportunity to grow your business beyond the services you provide? In this episode of the Angela Hoppe Collaborative Interview Series, I’m getting nosy with Leah Square, founder of Faces by Leah and AAURA Salon and Spa Suites, about product development, multiple income streams, and what it looks like to build a business that can grow with you.
