Well. Definitely a learning experience. I had to go heavy with the orange tint in the end to hide the spider legging from having the airbrush too close. By the end of it I definitely had the feel of the distance and layer thickness. I've not glued the canopies in so at a later date I can strip them and try again. But every miniature is practice for the next one!!

Well. This time tomorrow I'll have had my first go at tinting a clear canopy using an airbrush and some clear paint. In this case a mix of contrast and shade paints. No going back now. Wish me luck!

Anyone who knows me knows I butterfly between multiple projects in my hobby and never finish anything before moving onto the next one. This 40k army is going to be different. My first step is achieved, a complete combat patrol. Next step is 500pts, then 750 followed by a 1kpt force for a gaming weekend with my mates. Next up is translating my colour scheme onto a vehicle. Until next time travellers, be safe and hydrate.

Hope everyone's holding up ok in the current heatwave. I've been doing maybe 20 mins an evening just to be productive. This is the result of 3 evenings small sessions.

Brokhyr Thunderkin done! I finished these while listening to @the_miniature_painting_tutor on Twitch tonight dropping absolute truth nuggets of painting fundamentals. It even helped me through the mistakes. Loved getting these finished. Einhyr Hearthguard left to complete the combat patrol.

Guided by 2 of my favourite hobby peeps: @savage_ork_guy and the best face painting masterclass and @chrisfrosin and his excellent review of the Void War bases my gaming Votann are coming along nicely. by @facesnbases
