ICONIC WEST COAST MOTHER GIA TISCI | HOUSE VOICES | COMING SOON | FACES OF BALLROOM

@gottalovegia

Gia Tisci’s story is about what happens when a person finds the freedom to become fully themselves — and then grows into someone others look to for guidance.

A native of Los Angeles, Gia speaks about finding acceptance in Ballroom, the strength of chosen family, and the rare gift of being deeply supported by her biological family. For Gia, those worlds do not compete. They strengthen one another. That foundation helped shape the leader she would become.

As Iconic West Coast Mother Gia Tisci, she reflects on leadership, responsibility, and the legacy she hopes to leave behind. There is confidence in how Gia carries herself, but also honesty about what it takes to show up for others.
And then there is the fashion.

Gia understands presentation as part of her language. Her style, runway presence, and unmistakable confidence all speak to the same thing: knowing who you are and refusing to diminish it.

Her presence has reached beyond the West Coast Ballroom scene, including Season 2 of HBO Max’s Legendary with the House of Tisci.

In this upcoming House Voices feature, Gia opens up about family, acceptance, leadership, fashion, legacy, and the journey behind the woman we see on the floor.

Special thanks to Jack Mizrahi Gorgeous Gucci, Nico Gorgeous Gucci, and Dolores Ninja for welcoming Faces of Ballroom to The West Coast Awards Ball: Slay for the Fathers and allowing us to capture the brilliance of the West Coast Ballroom community.

When the ball ends, the story continues.

HOUSE VOICES | WEST COAST AWARDS BALL 2026 | COMING SOON | FACES OF BALLROOM

Before every story begins, there is a moment when someone sits down, settles in, and decides what they are ready to share.

At The West Coast Awards Ball: Slay for the Fathers**, Faces of Ballroom had the privilege of sitting with members of the community whose voices, experiences, humor, wisdom, and memories help make Ballroom what it is.

This reel is only the beginning.

Over the coming weeks, House Voices returns with a new collection of conversations from the West Coast — stories about family, Houses, leadership, identity, community, competition, legacy, and the lives that continue long after the ball ends.

We are deeply grateful to Jack Mizrahi Gorgeous Gucci, Dolores Ninja, Nico Gorgeous Gucci, and the West Coast Awards Ball team for welcoming us and allowing us to capture these moments.

Special thanks to Loso Martinez (@losohego) for welcoming Faces of Ballroom into Bring It On Vogue Night and The Aftermath, and to Mother Calypso Jete (@calypsojete for having us at the 7th Annual TGI Birthday Kiki Ball presents Mystery Dinner Party.

We also thank @theabbeyweho for the kindness and hospitality shown to us in West Hollywood, and Dolores Ninja and the House of Ninja for their warmth and generosity throughout our stay.

Dolores is also one of our upcoming House Voices features, and we are excited to share more of her story in the months ahead.

Most importantly, thank you to every person who sat in that chair and trusted us with a piece of their story.

ICONIC WEST COAST MOTHER GIA TISCI | HOUSE VOICES | TEASER | FACES OF BALLROOM

@gottalovegia

“I’m not an influencer. I’m the influence.” — Gia Tisci

That line captures the energy of this conversation.
In this edition of House Voices, Iconic West Coast Mother Gia Tisci reflects on leadership, family, fashion, acceptance, and the kind of legacy that is built through how you show up for others.

A native of Los Angeles, Gia speaks about the strength of chosen family, the support of her biological family, and the responsibility that comes with becoming someone others look to for guidance.
As Mother of the West Coast Chapter of the House of Tisci, she brings that same intention to her leadership, her runway presence, and the way she moves through community.

And then there is the fashion.

For Gia, style is not decoration. It is identity, confidence, and presence made visible.

Her story has also reached audiences beyond the Ballroom floor, including Season 2 of HBO Max’s Legendary with the House of Tisci.

This is only the teaser. The full Gia Tisci House Voices interview is available now on YouTube.

Some friendships are measured in years. Others are measured in memories, growth, forgiveness, laughter, and the ability to pick up exactly where you left off. ❤️

Michael, @mm32319, you have been part of my life since high school — you were even my prom date! 😂 And somehow, almost 30 years later, through every up, every down, every season, and every version of ourselves, we can still come together like no time has passed at all.

Having you there supporting me during our Faces of Ballroom LA shoot meant more to me than I could ever fully put into words. This journey is incredibly personal to me, and there is something special about looking around while you’re building a dream and seeing someone standing beside you who knew you long before the dream even had a name.

You have always been such a kind and beautiful soul, and I truly hope life gives you every bit of love, happiness, and goodness you deserve. I am beyond grateful for our friendship, for our history, and for the fact that after all these years, we are still here.

I love you very much, Michael. Thank you for showing up for me, believing in me, and supporting Faces of Ballroom. 🖤

This project is about preserving stories, honoring community, and celebrating the people who make our journeys meaningful; and sometimes, the people behind the scenes deserve their flowers too.

Almost 30 years later… still family. Still love. Still us.

Amp Lanvin | Thee Jungle Ball | House Voices | Interview | Faces of Ballroom
Amp Fulse

For Amp Lanvin, Ballroom is a place where imagination still has room to get bigger.

At Thee Jungle Ball: People’s Choice Awards — Civic Verdict, Amp took home the cash prize in the Sneaker vs. Sneaker category, bringing style, confidence, and personality to the floor.

In this edition of House Voices, Amp reflects on Ballroom’s legacy and where he hopes the culture can go next. His vision is anything but small — at one point, he imagines a future where even spaceships could find their way onto Ballroom runways.

That sense of possibility is part of what makes Ballroom so powerful. It honors tradition while continually challenging the next generation to dream further, build bigger, and bring something the floor has never seen before.

Representing Lanvin, Amp reminds us that legacy is not only about preserving what came before. It is also about having the imagination to ask what could come next.

Special thanks to Amp Lanvin for taking the time to sit with Faces of Ballroom and share his perspective, humor, and vision with us.

We also thank @ballroomthrowbacks on YouTube, @vogueforyourlife on YouTube, and Jack Carolina on Facebook for the archival and social media material that helped add context and depth to this feature.

Stella Du’mure-Versailles | Thee Jungle Ball | House Voices | Interview | Faces of Ballroom

@fashionwithstevieg

For Stella Du’mure-Versailles, self-expression is not something to be limited by expectation — it is something to be claimed.

A proud advocate for the gender-nonconforming community, Stella speaks with clarity about identity, individuality, and the freedom to define yourself on your own terms.

“Gender should never define the person, but the person define the gender.” — Stella Du’mure-Versailles

In this edition of House Voices, Stella reflects on expression, visibility, and the importance of creating spaces where people are free to show up fully as themselves.

Representing Du’mure-Versailles and recognized in GNC Best Dressed, Stella brings fashion, presence, and point of view together in a way that feels both personal and purposeful.

Ballroom has long created room for people to challenge convention, reimagine identity, and turn self-expression into something powerful. Stella’s perspective is a reminder that authenticity is not about fitting into a definition — it is about having the freedom to write your own.
