I am so pleased to present my second #gemstone 💎 of 2026 with you all. A 15.8 ct, 15mm light to medium blue #topaz from Brazil. Faceted by me personally on my UltraTec V5. @ultratec_facet

The original design is “The Christmas Star” by Andrew Brown @abfacetdesign which features frosted pavilion facets skillfully angled and precision cut for maximum light 💡 return. I added some personal touches and modified the crown #facets to my own liking. The finished stone gives me both galactic North Star vibes and the look of a compass rose. Yes, I did the work and yes - this piece is absolutely stunning! 🙏🏽 Thanks for looking.

Blown away by the performance of this Dravite Tourmaline from Tanzania! 🇹🇿💎🤩 Weighing in at a respectable 3.77ct and measuring 10.32x9.94mm. Cut in Andrew Brown’s “Shield of the Heart” design. @abfacetdesign

To say i’ve caught the Montana sapphire 💎 bug would be an understatement! I think I’m hooked for life. From a little beginner mine-to-door bag of gravel, came this beautiful blue-green sapphire from Rock Creek, MT, USA. 🇺🇸 The sapphire rough pebble weighed right about exactly 1ct. The finished stone - 0.52ct. 💥 No heat, SI, stunning color, precious!

Feliz Friday, Fascinated Facet Familia!

This garnet is all about locality for me! From a stream bed in Delaware County, PA comes small batches of gem 💎 almandine garnets. Almandine is considered the most common and widely abundant species of garnet but lovely nonetheless. Most are sourced for industrial abrasive material but some like this are better suited as faceted gemstones.

These aren’t flashy open color garnets as one would see out of east Africa. They are dark like a rich barolo wine, 🍷 deep red with perhaps a touch of amber, vitreous to greasy luster. ✨ They are the type of garnet one remembers from a simpler time, think vintage jewelry. I chose a classic rose cut design for this one weighing in at 2.2ct. Simple, subtle, timeless. 🤌🏽

Simple rose cut play on gem almandine garnet sourced from a stream in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. 💎 It has a little vein that needs cutting away but I should have that removed before final polish. Interesting material I’ve been wanting to test for quite some time. Dark but flatter cuts like this may show some fun color and luster. ✨

Here’s one of my “first generation” stones faceted by me when I was a teen. Having grown up in New Jersey and vacationed at the shore every summer, i often beachcombed for “cape may diamonds” or gem grade water worn quartz pebbles. One day, along a bay beach we visited, I found an unusually sparkly waterworn pebble. Turns out it was this stone, a lovely pale yellow orthoclase feldspar. I faceted it on my Graves Mark IV into this simple oblong hex step cut gem. For a not so easy machine to work with, I was quite pleased with how this one turned out. A whopping 7.2ct to boot! 💎

Howdy gem-lovers! 💎 Today, I’m offering up a couple special little sets of mismatched size round brilliant garnets. However, these are not your average garnets. First, we have a 4 and 5mm pair of fanta spessartine garnets from Loliondo, Tanzania totaling 1 carat. Second set we have a 4.5 and 5mm pair of mandarin spessartine from Madagascar totaling 1.14ct. 💥

These are small deposit rare colored stones. All 4 stones have some degree of microchipping due to inclusions and typical “sugar” within the stones. They are all included but don’t let that deter you - some of us gem nuts LOVE interesting inclusions such as smaller crystals or fibrous hairs of minerals like actinolite in one of the Madagascar gems. I’ve added a couple sample microscope images of these at the end of my reel.

These are offered cheap at $150 a set OR take both at $275. 🙏🏽 Price does not include shipping. At the moment, I am only shipping within the US and Canada. DM to claim!
