This week we’re doing things a little 🤏 differently. We’d love to give you insight into some products we don’t love for acne prone skin through our experience as acne specialists.

Tretinoin cream can clog your pores…👀

Tretinoin is a form of retinol, and the cream version is actually clogging to your pores.😮

Bonnie doesn’t recommend retinol when your skin is clogged or if it’s breaking out because whilst it does shut the dead skin down, it will bring everything to the skin’s surface too which can cause more issues.

This is why we recommend avoiding retinol during this period, until the acne is under control and has settled.
