“Danza gentile sull’orlo di una tempesta”

“Danza gentile sull’orlo di una tempesta” is the title of Arianna Pasini’s second album, released this June on the Factory Flaws label with the support of Nuovo Imaie. Through carefully crafted lyrics and arrangements, it offers a delicate insight into the precariousness of contemporary life in times of climate and social crisis, moving between irony and more serious reflections. The image of dancing bees and beehives recurs throughout the album, symbolising a society in which one sometimes feels constrained and suffocated. The cover features a detail from a painting by the artist Arianna Zama, entitled “La storia dei cinesi convertiti dagli sputi”. In the work, one can make out a vase of flowers, timidly hinted at with fine lines amidst the textured brushstrokes, placed alongside two small pairs of shoes in deep black. The album will be performed by a special line-up featuring a string section. The album’s producer Marco Giudici will also be present; he will set up a small recording studio to record the performance live.

Arianna Pasini (Lugo, 1993) is a musician and singer-songwriter. She graduated with a degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Visual Arts at the University of Bologna. In March 2024, she released “Verso una Casa”, her first solo album. In March 2025, she released the single “Lontano”. In June 2026, she released her second album, “Danza gentile sull’orlo di una tempesta”, via Factory Flaws, with a contribution from Nuovo Imaie.

Arianna Zama (Lugo, 1998) is an Italian visual artist. She trained at the Academies of Fine Arts in Ravenna and Bologna. Through the languages of painting and drawing, her work develops an imaginary world composed of magical figures, wild plants and faces that seem to form a sort of wild garden or impossible atlas, where influences drawn from novels, memories and visions intertwine. Her work has been featured in various exhibitions and art fairs. by @factoryflaws
