with the days getting darker, i thought i might share a collection of photos from a season gone by ✦

not to document design work, just to remember the recent warm months .. scenes from the garden, evenings in the canoe, perfect sunrises, butterflies and a new kitten named eno ✧

a love letter to late summer .. this might be my favorite time of year ❀

the garden is firmly in bloom before fall colors start moving in .. the shadows hit different as the light begins to shift .. it’s a warm and welcome wind down before autumn. for whatever reason it’s leaving me inspired in ways i hope to carry into the next season.

I have not gushed about this day nearly enough .. so let’s talk about Alyssa + Chris’s intimate wedding reception.

The floral story was inspired by the bride’s incredible artwork, complementing her hand drawn menus and signage throughout. A handful of the blooms were grown right in the Faded Era garden! I loved incorporating the cosmos and dahlias with their soft gradient, lending to the watercolor feel.

After a last minute venue change, @hendrixandsiena took extra care and made sure the night was unforgettable. I can’t sing their praises enough!

It felt as though everything fell right into place and this day will hold a special place in my heart as it was the first wedding booked for Faded Era after moving cross country.

If only we could do it again! 💕

.. Sweet ceremony details from A + C’s unforgettable wedding last year. There is still so much I have yet to share from their day! ..

I would love for my clients to know that leading up to your wedding day, I am full of butterflies. Nerves and excitement .. is that how you’re feeling? I’m right there with you and putting it all into my designs.

This week I’ve been gearing up for the first Faded Era wedding of the year. It’s a slower season this time around, making each event all the more special. Feeling grateful and inspired as ever 🦋
