We love the gentle intensity with which Fatma Korkut @fadik___ engages in dialogue each time she encounters everyday life and the faces of people she meets around the world. In her own words and pictures:"I graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University. In my photographic practice, I focus on the people I encounter in different geographies. My portraits are rarely based on a predetermined composition; instead, each photograph is shaped by the situations that unfold in the moment, the atmosphere of the environment, and the relationship formed during the encounter. I try to enter the stories of the people I photograph, approaching their lives through everyday experiences, habits, and rituals. While photographing individuals from different cultures, I aim to reveal a broader cultural context through their ways of living. For me, portraiture becomes a narrative space where individual stories and cultural identities intersect. . .
