Learning how to key out plants + diving into botany, pollinators on bee balm and catmint, and a bountiful farm.

Diving into botany has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my weekend herbalism program. It’s both exciting and challenging at the same time and makes me appreciate each plant all the more. by @faeflora_

🌻Summer is in full swing: Processing willow, canning for colder months, reaping the harvest for programs and market, and learning through my herbal weekend course.

📈Summer has so much to teach on all the plants, it can be overwhelming!! Integrating what I can, getting to know a few more deeply, and storing up topics to dive into when things slow down in the fall. by @faeflora_

May was a blur of all things good and farmy. Watching plants race towards harvest, robins nests galore, reuniting with our farms’s turtle friend, visiting from our swampy woods, for the 11th year on record, starting my learning journey with 7Song and more! May and June may be some of the best months of the year, I just wish they’d stay around longer! 🌱🥕🐝 by @faeflora_

🌸Capture the flavors and fragrances of spring in herbal drinks!

🌱In this herbal mocktail workshop, we will create refreshing non-alcoholic beverages perfect for everyday enjoyment or special occasions. We’ll make three drinks together while learning recipes for the components of each one. For each herb highlighted in the beverages, we’ll discuss how to source the herb and its medicinal benefits.

⭐️Participants will walk away knowing how to make herbal syrups, bitters, shrubs, and herbal electrolyte beverages. Everyone will go home with 8oz of a shrub we make in class together!

Enjoying a deep and proper winter ❄️

For me, even herbal study has its rest season. This is a time I like to dwell on and with the plants and often take a pause from intentional study and creating products.

Sometimes it’s nice to dream, be, integrate and mediate during the darkest months of the year.

Lots of time with the plants both in the warm and the cold shared with beings who provide equal amounts of medicine 🌱 by @faeflora_
