That second picture was taken by P2 a few days after I started to build my setup, and I find it so funny because that's how I look like 90% of the time while playing ! 🤣

Bonus : Nessie's face 😂 fun fact, that was the one and only time she came on my knees while I'm playing 🥲

Pov : a gamer's quest in Tokyo 🎮

I had the chance to attend the exposition for Final Fantasy X's 25th anniversary and it was amazing 😍 (no recording allowed so I took a lot of pictures)
I was filled with nostalgia, watching all the great scenes again, but also the artwork drafts 💕

Artnia Square Enix Cafe, Sega, Capcom, Nintendo store, Pokemon store... my inner child was fulfilled 🥹 by @faeriesetup

Maybe unpopular opinion ⬇️

First, I have to say that this is the first Trails game I have played. I didn't play the original but I've heard the remake is very faithful to it.

Second, my overall thoughts on the first chapter : I really enjoyed it.
The story is a classic jrpg fantasy. Without spoiling, you go on an adventure, join a guild and perform quests, that will all lead you to your main goal.
It is REALLY slow-paced, I nearly dropped it after the first 10 hours because of that BUT the gameplay is really fun ! That's what kept me going.

They really take the time to build the world and characters which is a good point if you're patient enough.
Please don't come at me but I was not really interested in the main story... until the plot twist at the end ! Which is why I'll definitely play the second chapter 😆
Have I said the gameplay is great ? Like really fun ! And the game is really beautiful too, it's colorful and very detailed.

Finally, the protagonists relationship is actually well written. Context : Joshua is like an adoptive brother to Estelle but they live together during 5 years only (they're 16/17 ? during the events of the game). The shift from "he's like a brother to me" to "I love him actually !" was done well enough to make it realistic. But it still bothers me a bit that they lived together as kids for a while 😅

Overall 7/10 (didn't adore the story but the plot twist and gameplay make up for it)

Upcoming game releases you don't want to miss (my recommandations in chronological order)

Looks like the next months will be a blessing for fantasy lovers, but I also feel a bit overwhelmed by all these games I want to play 😂

Will I ever get enough time 😭

Unpopular opinion⬇️

Wishlisted but not sure I'll get it yet. I have mixed feelings about games adapted from anime/mangas/movies 🤔 It will go like this in my head :
- If it's a story from the original media than I will not stop comparing it
- If it's an original story, just for the game, will it be considered canon ? I will always wonder how that will fit in the real story

That being said, I love The apothecary diaries and the game does look promising !

Don't forget to play the first game ! Visually stunning 💕

This one doesn't get enough attention

It is done by one independant developper. You can feel the love she poured into it when you play the game !
It's also the first of its genre, as it's an otome game but not a visual novel. You have turn-based fights, with an interesting dark fantasy plot Video game recommandations

That feeling when you reach the end of a game 🥲

I had this edit ready for a while now but I needed to grieve the ending first 🥹

This was just perfectly done imo, the sadness, regret, and grief that I felt watching ths last scene, the last shared moment between Aerith and Cloud, was amazing 😭

I can't wait to see how they will wrap everything in the next chapter

My honest review ⬇️

I'm reaching the end of the game but since I've started it, 65 hours ago, I have loved it ! 🥰

Metaphor Refantazio has everything I could ever want from a video game.

In a dystopian fantasy world, the game talks about politics, class warfare, racial resentment, corrupt institutions... I feel like it resonates a lot with what's happening around the world nowadays, reminding me all along how thinner the line between fiction and reality has become. I think the story realistically demonstrates how people can be seduced by the lies of fascsm.

Visually, it is gorgeous (maybe not in this reel but believe me. Haha)
The characters are all adults (thankfull for that, I'm past the teenage angst, lol), and considering the world they live in, spending time with them involves heavy subject. The social link system is simpler than Persona, which makes it more enjoyable. You can pick any line of conversation, it will go up, you don't have to be a people-pleaser to everyone 😂

I only have one negative point to make, but it's really a personal preference. I loved the gameplay. BUT I felt like some (not all) dungeons were dragging on forever. With the calendar system, as you may already know, you should finish the dungeon in a day (unless the story doesn't allow you to) in order to enjoy the free time to do all the other necessary activity, side quests and social links. I'm not a fan of grinding (in any game) so this might not be an issue for you 😊
