Nutrient dense.. animal based.. mostly. Tartare, raw cheese, organ meats, butter, market produce, the odd homemade dessert. No recipes.. no measures.. my body knows. I just listen.

The South of France. Another home. Took me a while to get to St Tropez. Forever now on the hit list. Beautiful ingredients, shops, markets and outdoor cooking, outdoor eating, outdoor living. Drive by pickups. Many dishes were made with much pleasure. Cote de boeuf, veal chop, rib eye steaks, apricot (bbq finished) marscapone cheesecake, crunch herby yoghurt lemony salads, lots of tomatoes, lots of fruit as always, evoo was flowing, butter was disappearing, plates were empty. Paradise lost? Not at all.

One of the cheapest beef cuts in the shop, given a few hours.

One pan only producing a slow cooked bourguignon.. warm, rich but not too rich.. a worthy dish.

Seabass for main with coconut flour.. potatoes with garlic and tomato.. burrata with balsamic.. asparagus, olive oil, lemon. Buy well and let the ingredients take you there.

A fine dinner or a takeaway burger.. I enjoy both the same.

Maxzi burger and fries on Deliveroo.. the leftover fries went with breakfast next morning. Eat what you love.. that’s the whole relationship.

Picanha from @thefabrique.ae turns up, dinner works itself out.

Craving egg fried rice.. and used mango to sweeten it. Vegetables that I had.. chopped up. Beef and yes mango egg fried rice.. wouldn’t change it.

Veal bone broth in the mash, not cream.

Soule Soups broth through the potatoes and the beef both.. no dairy anywhere. I love dairy but I wanted this light.. per se.
