A few years ago, I thought I had to choose between family time and financial freedom.

I’m a regular mum of two highly energetic young boys, CEO of a creative business, and I also work part time in a school. With big dreams of owning an old cottage farmhouse and yes with real animals, because why not? 🤗

I was working full-time as a fashion and portrait photographer, travelling, creating, and editing. Then I became a mum, my priorities changed for the better, but life took an unexpected turn.

After losing Laith, I knew I wanted more freedom and flexibility. I wanted to be present for my boys, not miss the moments that matter, and build something that gave me financial independence too.

When I started this journey, I had no experience, very little confidence, and barely any spare time. Just faith, determination, and a desire for more.

Was I unsure? Absolutely.

But this isn’t a get-rich-quick story.
It’s a create-more-choice story.

The best part isn’t the income, it’s helping other mums and dads realise they don’t have to choose between family, finances, and their dreams. Whether that’s reducing work hours, creating extra income, or building something of their own.

My goal has always been simple: to create a life with more freedom, more time, and more opportunities for my family; and help others do the same.

The kind of success I’m building was never meant to be achieved alone. 🤍

The most beautiful part of this journey is realising that when one woman grows, she gives others permission to grow too. We celebrate each other here. We teach each other. We push each other toward bigger goals, higher ranks, and more freedom; even if it means someone rises faster than we do.

Because true leadership isn’t about staying ahead.
It’s about reaching back and bringing others with you.

There is space for every woman willing to believe she’s capable of more.

I’ve always loved having something creative of my own. One day I’m creating gifts, the next I’m working on my travel business and connecting with people who want to build something of their own too.

Two very different businesses, both a part of me. And I love that I don’t have to choose just one thing to pursue.

I’m a big believer that you can build something alongside the things you already love doing. You don’t have to fit yourself into one box.

Truth is, I wasn’t sitting there thinking: “I really want to sell holidays.”

I wanted something that was mine.

Something I could build alongside my life. A side business that gave me something to work towards, learn from and grow into, without needing to completely change everything I was already doing.

And when I discovered the online travel business world, I realised it wasn’t quite what I had assumed.

That’s what made me curious enough to start.

And honestly, I think there are so many women scrolling Instagram right now who aren’t necessarily looking for a travel business either.

They’re looking for their thing.

A side hustle, an extra income stream, something flexible, or simply something that feels like it belongs to them.

They just haven’t found the right thing yet.

So let me ask you…

The goal was never to build the biggest business. It was to build a life where our family comes first.

Imagine your children growing up believing that building something of their own is normal.

That’s the legacy I want to leave.

For over a decade my husband has built a business he’s proud of. Now I’m building mine.
Not because it’s about chasing more, but because it’s about creating choices. The flexibility to put family first. The freedom to decide what our days look like. The chance to build a life that fits around the people we love, not the other way around.

If one day my boys really are asking, “Do we join Mum’s business or Dad’s?”… I’d smile. Not because they have to, but I’ll know we’ve shown them that there’s more than one way to build a meaningful life.

Because the greatest thing we can leave our children isn’t a business. It’s the belief that they’re capable of building one too.

I fell in love with art when I was a little girl taught to draw a swan by my nans brother. From there, I studied and explored as many forms and mediums as I could, always finding something new to learn and create. It became a little part of me that I never thought I’d lose.

But somewhere along the way, without even realising it, I stopped. Life got fuller: kids, a new home, businesses, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with it.

Today, I found myself wandering through the art and photography section of the library, looking for something familiar, or maybe something completely new to try. And I thought… why not go looking for an old love I once had and see if I can fall in love with it all over again.

I wonder how many of us have something like this… an old hobby, a passion, something that used to make us feel like us, that we’ve somehow left behind.

Being a mum will always be my most important job 💕

There will always be another post, another reel and another week to work on my businesses. But there won’t always be another summer where my boys are this little.

This summer I made the decision to step back from socials and just enjoy having them home. I didn’t share our usual weekly team wins, I wasn’t posting about the business or trying to stay consistent with content. I just wanted to be present and make the most of those 6 weeks with them, because I knew how quickly it would all come around and suddenly they’d be back at school and we’d be back into our usual routine.

And that’s honestly one of the things I’m most grateful for with the business I’ve built. I can step away when my family needs me and come back when I’m ready, without needing to ask someone for permission to take those weeks off or worrying that my income completely stops because I wasn’t working in the usual way, because it doesn’t.

Now they’re back at school and masjid and I’m slowly getting back into my routine too. It’s made me appreciate even more why having something that can work around your life, rather than your life constantly having to work around your job, means so much to me 🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions about this business is that everyone joins for the same reason.
The reality is… they don’t and it isn’t for everyone.

Some people simply love to travel and enjoy having access to a platform they can use themselves.

Some like earning commission from recommending something they genuinely use.

Others decide to build a business because they want more flexibility, another income stream, or a community to grow with.

There’s no expectation to do it all. That’s one of the things I appreciate most. You can make it fit your goals, your lifestyle and the season of life you’re in.
