It’s official- the 944 has working brakes and moves on its own power! After many minor setbacks and stalling about 100 times (pls enjoy vid 2 of the 17th time I stalled in the driveway), I managed to drive her down the street and back. Shoutout @doktor_b & @kbalich for literally everything but especially for being super encouraging and helping me get this thing going. Chris and his Toyota parts came in clutch today (can’t have brakes without bleeder valves lmfao) and we revamped my To Do board in the garage. Looking like she may make it to RR7 🥳

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. The man I got my logical, mechanical brain from, the man I got my passion from, the man who inspires me to follow my dreams. The man who encourages me to be myself without apology, who raised me to be a strong, independent person. The silly goofy man who never fails to make a room light up with laughter, who is always willing to help those he loves. What a weekend. Thank you to everyone who made it out for another Ruchlos. This thing is for you guys, and we’re so glad we got to spend another great weekend with you.

For the last nine months, I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into this thing, and I’m so glad I did. I’m so grateful for all the love and support y’all have shown me these past years. The community that Ruchlos has brought me feels like home, and every year I leave wishing we could do it again next weekend. I can’t clearly express how big of an impact it’s had on my life, but the degree in event management I’m working on might give you a clue.

This Ruchlos was damn near my favorite of all. Hannah and I had an absolute blast hanging with @claytonstinnett @tuckmoto and Jack all weekend, and we’re so excited for next time. A huge thank you to Jack and Clayton for helping us move all our shit around, as well as all our registration volunteers. Couldn’t have done it without you folks!!

I’d also like to give a huge shout out to @doktor_b and @kbalich for literally everything. Thank you for all of the emotional and logistical support this year, for the driveway space (I swear that 944 will drive soon), and for being the best Indiana Adults a girl could ask for. Thank you for all your help, especially for finishing folding the tshirts while I passed out on your couch 🫣 I appreciate the fuck outta you guys, and I truly couldn’t have done it without you (and maintained any sanity).

Sam @nowthatsagarage and Judi, I so appreciate you guys, and the brats were killer as always. Knocked it out of the park 😜

To everyone who donated to the Livy & Hannah College Fund Sale, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. Y’all have no idea how much it means to both of us, and we’re so incredibly grateful for the support and words of encouragement y’all had for us during the sale. I’m looking forward to one last year and she’s looking forward to her first, and it’s less stressful because of you guys.

Another great Ruchlos Rallye in the books! Thank you to everyone who made it out this year, you guys make it what it is. The community this Rallye has given me is unparalleled, and I’m so happy I’ve been given the opportunity to be a part of it.

This year was incredible for so many reasons, but I think the biggest was being able to be part of the Ruchlos Crew. Having the opportunity to put in the work to make this event happen has been a dream come true, and I’m so thankful that Tony, Mike, and Eliot (and my dad) have seen how passionate I am about this community, and have allowed me to put that passion into action.

I am also so excited that this year I was able to meet some new, younger faces. Don’t get me wrong, I love you OGs, but connecting with the people who will one day be my rallye community was something I was really hoping to do this year. I met and got to know some really cool guys, like Jack, Clayton, Chris, and Tucker, and Hannah and I had a blast hanging with them Saturday night. I can’t wait to see how we all keep this community going when the time comes.

Thank you again to all my volunteers, you guys really held it down on Thursday night, and I couldn’t be more grateful. To Niki, Paul, Hannah, Amber, Jessie, and Kelly, thank you for keeping me sane! This week was a crazy one, but y’all kept my head from coming off. Sam and Judi, you guys are the best as always, thank you so much for everything you do. Those lot brats are a pillar of this rallye, and y’all hit it out of the (state) park every time. Thank you to Jason Lefton, that livery was AMAZING, and the year five gifts were so cool, thank you so so much for doing those so beautifully. Chris Balich, thank you so much for the decklid grills, they are so cool and mine will be hung up in my apartment as soon as possible.

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading. One last thing. Thank you to my dad, Bryan Rasch. Without all of your hard work and your support, I would’ve never thought this could be a possibility. I’m so grateful you’ve given me the opportunity to do this with you and be a part of your community. Love you tons, Dad.

Ruchlos 4, the best weekend of my year.

I had the absolute pleasure of being the Ruchlos Event Intern this year, and it went far better than I could’ve imagined. Being part of the team made the weekend even more special than usual. I’m so glad I get to contribute to the fantastic event Ruchlos has turned into and be part of the fun.

Anyone who’s heard the stories of my roadtrips with my dad knows that we’ve had our share of incidents, from a freak spin-out on the freeway to two rims and a strut cracking on a washout in the road. We’ve been incredibly lucky, all things considered, but a big reason I keep coming back after all these things is because we have such an amazing community around us. This rallye is so special because we all take care of each other. We share knowledge and help each other fix whatever issues we run into with these old cars. We even drive each other home if we need to (thank you tons Jessie, Tony, MD & Eliot). I’m so grateful I get to experience this community and the beautiful West Virginia roads with you all. I caught the Porsche bug because of my dad, but it is certainly being fed by all of you. Thank you guys for being so awesome. This rallye would be boring if it wasn’t for y’all. Can’t wait for next year!
