A month later. I am still taking in the significance of this moment. Truly and forever grateful of the opportunity to serve as the first female speaker of the UKZN PARLIAMENT. I carry this with gratitude, humility and a deep sense of purpose. Ngibonge ithuba to Medical School🫂❤️

Reflection Thursday;
I’d be lying if I said I did it on my own. The circle of women surrounding me is phenomenal. @yolo_malangeni , @radfemmeenby thank you for seeing me and believing in me even when I struggled to see it in myself.

I remember feeling shaken and saying that the role was bigger than me. Y’all can imagine the “first female speaker” pressure.😭 But you ladies reminded me of my capabilities and my strength

Thank you for your unwavering support, your encouragement and for always speaking confidence into me when doubt tried to take up space. Women need other woman backing them up, I cannot emphasize this enough!

I appreciate you more than words can express. ❤️
