It's been several days since the 1st Annual Monster's Ball, and I'm still trying to put into words what this night meant to me.

I'm truly humbled by everyone who shared it with us. So much heart and hard work went into making this happen, and none of it would have been possible without some incredible people.

Thank you to Amos' Southend for hosting us and to my brothers Dustin Reedy, Thomas Thornsberry, and Travis Dry. I'm fortunate to share the stage with you.

To Frailskin, Taking November, and Unthreaded, you guys absolutely delivered! I'd put this lineup against any national act I've shared a stage with based on heart alone.

Thank you to Curtis Swaringen, Sam Ocheltree, Kenny Starr, Jordan Mattacchione, and Jefferson Nunnery for making us look and sound amazing.

Morgan Riley, you were phenomenal! Salem, June, and Jules, you ladies absolutely slayed our merch department!

To Chloe Owenby, Tyler Nottingham, Michael Carter, and Kelly Flusk with Pangea Creative Group, thank you for capturing these memories.

To everyone who attended, bought tickets, supported the bands, or helped spread the word, THANK YOU!

Think about this. Failing Andrea had played only THREE shows before this event. We've been performing live for less than three months, yet somehow we just headlined one of Charlotte's premier music venues. YOU made that possible.

I've always viewed music venues as art galleries. The stage is where we display our work, except our art happens right in front of you. It's vulnerable, emotional, imperfect, and honest. When you show up and support live music, you make every sacrifice worthwhile.

And finally, Andrea. There would be no Failing Andrea without you. What started as an anniversary gift of studio time became something I never imagined. You believed in my music, but more importantly, you believed in me. I love you and the life we've built with our children. Thank you for choosing me. I'm really glad I'm not Chasing Andrea!

This night will stay with me forever.

Much love to everyone reading this. You are appreciated more than you know.

The future excites me. We're just getting started.

This picture right here.

This is what the Monster’s Ball was all about.

Four bands. One stage. One night. And a room of people who showed up for original rock music in Charlotte.

Failing Andrea. Unthreaded. Taking November. Frailskin.

Different sounds. Different personalities. Different stories. But when the night was over, this was the picture.

No competition. No egos. Just musicians supporting musicians and building something together.

To every person in this photo, everyone who worked behind the scenes, Amos’ Southend, and every single person who walked through those doors, thank you for helping make the very first Failing Andrea’s Monster’s Ball something we will never forget.

We said we were making a little Charlotte history together. Now we have the picture to prove it.

The first Ball is in the books.

And this is only the beginning.

Congratulations to Denzel Robinson for winning this Gibson Les Paul last night! On top of that, it was his birthday. I can’t think of a better way to spend a birthday or a better way to end the night.

Thank you to everyone who came out and shared the Monster’s Ball with us. It was an absolutely wonderful night. Every musician who took that stage was incredible, and we had an absolute blast.

We’re already excited to start planning Failing Andrea’s Second Annual Monster’s Ball.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make the first one something special.

Enjoy your night, ladies and gentlemen. We’ll see you all soon!

Much love,
Neil
