🌍 Fair Trade LA goes global!

Last weekend, Fair Trade LA was represented in Belgium alongside our friends at @oasisbelgium for the 2026 International Fair Trade Towns Conference!

Under the theme “Local Change for a Global Future,” fair trade advocates from around the world came together to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen the global movement.

🎙️ Our representatives, Phil and Jutatip, also spent time gathering stories and perspectives from changemakers across the movement, which we’re excited to share with you through the FAIR Talks podcast!

Because fair trade is more than a label. It’s a global movement built on people, partnerships, and the belief that together, we can create a fairer world.

October is Fair Trade Month, so naturally, our Featured Farm Coffee this month is Fair Trade Organic.

This coffee comes from Juana Escobar Gaspar, a Guatemalan producer we’ve proudly worked with for the past five years. It’s syrupy-sweet, with notes of candied orange, black cherry and cocoa.

Fair Trade is about more than a label. It helps support coffee-growing communities and gives farmers a voice in shaping their futures. @fairtradecertified by @fairtradecertified

Dole® Fair Trade Certified™ pineapple brings the sweet, NatureSweet® Fair Trade Certified™ Cherubs® tomatoes bring the bright, and together they create a salsa made for game day, fall gatherings and holiday tables.

Offering Fair Trade Certified produce means giving shoppers more ways to choose with purpose by advancing more opportunity for farmers, workers and communities and showing how product innovation can grow from shared standards and fresh thinking.

Fresh Dole® Pineapple and NatureSweet® Cherubs® Salsa Ingredients:
- 1 10-oz. container Cherubs® tomatoes, quartered
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup minced fresh cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 cup diced Dole® pineapple

Directions:
1. Gently combine all ingredients and let the salsa rest for 15 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips and a fresh lime wedge. Serves 6-8.
2. Save the recipe, share the bowl and look for the Fair Trade Certified label when you shop.
