What’s so cool about the Grass League?

Man, where do I start…

I’d have never played golf if it weren’t for my grandpa, the last tournament he watched me play was at Barona Oaks 23 years ago (not dating myself)

In all my life my dad’s never watched me play an event. I’ve never had my Mom, dad, stepmom, stepdad, aunt, wife, brother, grandpa, and friends on a golf course at the same time but here we are. The Grass League summer grind

To finish top 5 and secure a team win, knowing my grandpa might not ever see me do it again, it doesn’t get better than that.

I’m forever grateful. Here’s to holding a trophy of my own in December.

A few weeks ago I flew out to CA to play in the Grass League match play. I didn’t really know what to expect but man was this the coolest shit ever.

Nothing better than a 2 vs 2 duel and being in the trenches with your partner. What the guys behind the league are doing is something special.

I’ve played a lot of cool events in my life but this was the most fun I’ve ever had and I’m forever grateful to play on this stage.

Tune in to their YouTube channel on Thursday to watch a doozie of a matchup and see who wins. Is it the 1 seed or the 9 seed? To the boys at Phoenix United, thanks for one hell of a match.

To everyone behind the scenes for making this whole thing possible, yall are the real MVP’s, golf is better because of all of you.

10 years ago I didn’t have a best friend… I had myself and that’s about it. I had ran everyone to the wayside, including my family, for the choices I was making. Fast forward a decade and 365 days ago today, I married my best friend.

Life is hard people, the world needs more love. I’m proud of how far I’ve come as a person but more proud of the life I’ve built with my best friend. I’m forever grateful for you Tori and hundreds of other people in my life are grateful for you also.

I’m not entirely sure where I’d be today had I never met you, but the sad truth is, I probably wouldn’t be alive. So thank you for giving me another chance at life and for showing me what unconditional love feels like everyday.

I’m fortunate to have worn a lot of different hats/helmets in my life from a competitive standpoint, but nothing will ever top this. Forever grateful for the opportunity to represent @gl_phxutd on one of their biggest stages. Although my partner and I didn’t hoist a trophy in the end, I enjoyed the walk with everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting someone like myself earn a spot to represent your franchise. Cheers boys, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. March 2nd he hoisted a trophy while fighting one of the worst fights anyone can ever fight, especially as a 16 year old with their whole life ahead of them. This morning he closed his eyes for good.

I’ll miss you brother and a lot of other people will too. Your zest for life was unmatched and I’ll always wonder why this had to happen. In the meantime, I’ll hit flop shots for you any chance I get. 💔 #fuckcancer by @fairwaygesus
