|| Old Xian Art Collection 2✨

19 Days is one of my all time favorite manhuas and I'm completely in love with Old Xian's art, although it's a little sad that there wasn't a deluxe version.

My goal is to collect all three of their artbooks, now I only need the first one 😗

|| Heaven Official’s Blessing vol 2 ⋆.*ೃ✧

5/5⭐️

I had to read a little bit of the first volume to refresh my memory because I had completely forgotten everything.
I like how the story keeps developing and how little by little we get to see what happened to Xie Lian throughout all these years, how much he suffered, and all the sacrifices he made for the greater good.

I love how devoted and gentle Hua Cheng is with Xie Lian, how he supports him and firmly believes in him and at the same time Xie Lian trusts Hua Cheng and is deeply affected by what he thinks, a few words from him are all it takes to completely change his mood
Hua Cheng telling Xie Lian that whenever he wants to see him, no matter what number comes up on the dice, he’ll appear… PLEASE JUST KISS ALREADY!!👀🤩🤩

That last part with Honghong-er made me cry. I was NOT prepared to see them tell him that his fate was basically to bring destruction to everyone 😭
I still have one question: is Honghong-er Hua Cheng? Someone please explain 🤔

Happy Friday everyone!
These Xiao Chiye and Shen Zechuan plushies are way too adorable. They have so many details, even Lanzhou’s earring!

I don’t know how my mailbox service managed to recover them but they did ahhhh!!! I’m so happy!!!🥹🥹🥹

Btw, just pretend Lanzhou’s cape isn't backwards, okay?🤫

💌: What was the last plushie you bought?

|| Heaven Official’s Blessing (vol.1)✨🪭

5/5⭐️

Even though I found the world building and the cast of characters harder to follow than in QJJ, I truly loved it❤️
The way the scenes are described is honestly incredible. When she describes moments like the “brides” arc, I could picture it vividly along with all the fear and the eerie atmosphere of the situation, I simply adore her writing style, it’s so beautiful. She made the scene where Hua Cheng leads Xie Lian by the hand while he’s dressed as a bride my absolute favorite, it conveyed so much tenderness and love🥰

I really liked Xie Lian’s character, especially his positivity and his perseverance through everything as for Hua Cheng, he seems so mischievous and fun, reading their interactions is so refreshing. There is tension between them, I can feel it!
I like to see how despite “not knowing” him, Xie Lian trusts him, he is clearly affected by him and he even defends him. Seeing how Hua Cheng treats him with such delicacy and cares so much for him is just beautiful, don’t have the words to express what those scenes make me feel🥹

I’m very curious about their pasts and I hope the following books dive more into that and how Hua Cheng met Xie Lian, because it’s obvious he already knew him. I also have many questions regarding the boy with the bandages, I hope he reappears so I can find out what happened to him.

|| Ballad of Sword and Wine (vol.4)🪭🗡️

5/5⭐️

I struggled at the beginning because I couldn’t remember who was who but that’s because it had been a while since I read volume 3🫠
This volume becomes even more interesting , especially with the unexpected idea of a woman possibly taking the throne despite the rules against it, It also explores how women are denied ambitions and positions in politics or the military, treated mainly as tools for marriage, and even when they achieve something great, like Qi Zhuyin becoming Grand Marshal, they’re still undervalued and not given the recognition they deserve.

Xue Xiuzhuo turned out to be more cunning than I expected, even surpassing Lanzhou, who acknowledged it himself. I’m excited to see them face each other again and watch Lanzhou strike back😌
The reunion between Lanzhou and Ji Gang made me cry, and Chen Yang overcoming his insecurities and remembering he chose Ce’an too was really touching.
As for my favorite couple, I love them more with every book, Xiao Chiye said “I love you” I still can’t get over it🤩 Lanzhou calling himself Ce’an’s husband had me giggling and they keep showing just how freaky they are, I expected nothing less😏🔥

Xiao Chiye defeating Huhelu again was one of my favorite moments. The ending shocked me, I wanted Yao Wenyu back but not like that 😭
I’m excited for the next volume, though I’m still frustrated about why Xiao Chiye’s father treats him that way regarding what’s happening in Libei.
Also, Luo Mu and Kong Liu could’ve been such a cute couple🥺

|| Ballad of Sword and Wine (vol.3)🎐

5/5⭐️

SOMEBODY SEDATE ME!!😭
I cried so much that I got a headache, I wasn’t ready for all of this (Li Jiangheng, Qi Huilian, Zechuan crying, etc) this book destroyed me and then I made the mistake of looking up edits on TikTok and cried even more.
This volume, in my opinion, has way more action, drama, plot twists, and pain… but it also has hilarious moments (like the soldiers referring to Zechuan as Chiye’s wife and the scene with the maid 🤣🤣) and precious, deep moments between Zechuan and Chiye. It’s crystal clear that both of them are willing to do absolutely anything for the other🥹

“Two million isn’t enough to take away the wolf pup of the prince of Libei, such a betrothal gift is not enough worthy of my xiao Ce’an”
Lanzhou, you have no right to be this charming!🗣️

“I’ll leave my back to you, and you’ll leave your chest to me. We cannot do without each other”
Give Xiao Chiye an award!🛐

They are everything to me!!
Also, I have a feeling there might be a future couple between Qiao Tianya and Yao Wenyu… or is that just my imagination?👀
It was so incredible that it even had me on the edge of my seat over what would happen with a few grains of rice.
This has been my favorite volume so far.

|| Ballad of Sword and Wine (vol.2)🎐⚔️

5/5⭐️

I don’t think I could ever give one of these books less than 5 stars, I just love them. Even though they’re politically heavy I don’t find them boring, the way everything unfolds is interesting.
What can I even say about Xiao Chiye and Shen Zechuan? I love reading how their relationship progresses, their interactions, the way they scheme against each other (but give each other clues) yet at the same time plan together, the way they corner and tease each other. My favorite moment was Chiye taking care of Lanzhou so diligently when he was sick, not sleeping because he was afraid he might die, they are simply perfect🤧
Li Jianheng almost made me cry out of anger several times but at the same time, I understand him🫠

I can’t wait to see what happens next.
