Over the past few months, God reintroduced me to a small friend group I used to be very close with. They snapped me back into reality, which completely flipped my worldly lifestyle upside down. The song “The Blood” has a set of lyrics that say, “I don’t walk like I used to, and I don’t talk like I used to.” Those few words perfectly describe my life. I’ve learned to be okay with not participating in things I used to and to have obedience to God. Living for Christ doesn’t mean you will never sin again. It means not abusing God’s gracious gift of forgiveness, feeling conviction, and turning away from the flesh. God provides all my needs and blesses me beyond what I ever expected. Thank you, Jesus, for coming down to die on the cross for us, even though we did nothing to deserve it. Romans 8 talks about how Jesus did for us what we could not do for ourselves. It also says that those controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit, but those dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things. I pray you will understand the depth of what Jesus did for you when He came down—FOR YOU! “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”

These past days have been unreal—being in the Lord’s presence and surrounded by God-centered friendships is something I wish to experience every day. I’ve learned how to surrender things I’ve been holding onto and give it ALL to God.
